Where should I stay?
Answer
There are 3 main beaches in Rio: -Barra da Tijuca, the closest beach to the venue and where we will be staying. We highly recommend staying here. It will take you about 30-40 minutes to get to most tourist attractions. - Copacabana, the furthest one from the wedding venue, a classic Rio beach, lots of restaurants and bars. This is the closest to the tourist attractions. - Ipanema/Leblon, another classic location, a lot of the nicer/newer restaurants, bars and hotels are located here.

What Airport should I fly in to?
Answer
**We will have shuttles to take everyone from the airport to their hotel.** If you are flying directly to Rio from the US- - Santos Dumont Airport, this is the closest to the city. - Galeao - Tom Jobim International Airport, this is a bit further from town, but also a good airport. If you fly into Sao Paulo and then connect to Rio- - Guarulhos International Airport is in Sao Paulo, from here there are several flights to Rio every day that go to both Rio airports.

Is Rio safe?

Rio is a big city that unfortunately gets a bad rep. Here are some tips should you choose to explore the city on your own: - Don't wear any jewelry big while walking around town. All wedding rings, diamonds etc., should be left at home or left at the hotel safe while you are out exploring the city! *The wedding ceremony and reception will be safe places to wear your jewelry should you choose to have it with you.* - If you go to the beach on your own you can use either card or cash. If you are staying at a hotel that does beach service that is a great option! - Walking at night, stay in the main streets that are well lit and have other people around. - Ubers are a great and safe way to go places, cabs can be overpriced.
