The average daily high temperature in Alajuela is around 81 and the average low is around 66 with relatively low humidity. Rain is very unlikely at all in January, at it is the beginning of the dry season here. We definitely suggest bringing a light jacket or sweater for the evening. Our primary registry is on Zola. Because of the difficulty of transporting gifts from the US to Costa Rica, having our primary registry be with Zola online allowed us to choose items that we can pickup here at local retailers in Costa Rica. That helps us avoid exorbitant shipping costs and duties associated with international shipping and the risk of items being broken or damaged in transit. We also have a registry with William Sonoma brands with select items that we felt comfortable transporting in personal luggage. We know this is a bit unconventional, but, so are we!
