We met on Facebook Dating in October 2019. We didn't chat for long before we arranged to meet for brunch at Snooze in Tempe, AZ on October 13, 2019. When I walked up to introduce myself, Jamie doubled over and gasped! After recollecting himself, we had a fantastic brunch. He asked the waitress for a bowl of lemons and he brought out a small box of flavor changing berries that makes anything sour taste like sweet candy! We immediately clicked and spent several hours talking and getting to know one another. In the first week we met, we went on 4 dates. On October 18, 2019, we went to the AZ State Fair and Jamie asked me to be his girlfriend.

While living in AZ, Jamie was offered an incredible job with Intel that required him to move to Folsom, CA. In January 2020, we began our long distance relationship. I came to visit Jamie for Spring Break in March 2020. The week I came to visit was the same week the pandemic was declared. All my flights were cancelled and teaching was moved to online. After about a month of quarantine, we rented a U-Haul, drove back to AZ from Northern California, packed up my apartment, and had a wonderful (socially distanced) send off from my entire family. In September 2020, we traveled to the whimsical Sedona, AZ. We wanted a cute picture with the gorgeous red rock scenery, so we went on a bit of a hike to find the right spot. Jamie had carefully set up the cameras before I could. While I was setting up my camera, Jamie had "fallen" on a rock (which we kept!) and called me over to help. When I turned around to see if he was okay, he asked the magic question! Now we live in Sacramento, CA with our cat Keiko and dog Lily. Jamie works for Intel as a Product Marketing Manager and Angelique works for Sacramento Unified School District as a 1st-3rd grade Special Education Teacher and for a local studio as a Princess Entertainer and Dance Instructor.
