Man of Honor
Swimming over from Skokie to be my Man of Honor is the least shark-like human ever, my beloved, kind, and incredible brother Ed. I am so lucky to have him stand up for me! Here's to hoping that he dons a different suit for the occasion!
Best Woman
There is no one I'd rather have at the helm for this special day than my caring, awesome and wonderful sister, Pam McKinney. The last time I cried at a wedding was at Pam's, so now it's time to repay the favor.
Boss
We told Sasha to make her own role in the wedding. It will surprise no one to know that she would like to be the boss! She will make sure the guests don't get out of line. Going through this experience of getting engaged and planning the wedding with her has been such a beautiful gift!
Flower Girl
Don't be jealous, but we have the cutest flower girl in the history of weddings! She will also be the wedding DJ's worst nightmare (she's very particular about her musical tastes and WILL LET YOU KNOW.)
Officiant
Mother of the Groom
My Mom is my biggest fan. If you don’t believe me, you can ask her, but she will probably tell you unsolicited. Always the life of the party even when there isn’t one, you’ll just have to accept that she will out fun, out party, and out dance you; likely after doing a long run and swim before the wedding.
Father of the Bride
Some think Jim Kerouac is a tough guy, but he is actually a softy. Thanks Dad for all the love and support you have shown me. I'll bet you wish I found Andy 30 years ago - then you wouldn't have been the man responsible for helping me move heavy things from house to house a dozen times! Looking forward to that father/daughter dance! Love!
Mother of the Bride
I hit the jackpot with this one. My mom has been my biggest cheerleader throughout my life. And as much as she loves me, it is clear that she loves Andy and Sasha even more!!! And I am thrilled with that. Can't wait to celebrate this moment with her. Love, Goo
Father of the Groom
Andy's Dad is a retired Air Force Colonel. If he goes missing during the ceremony or reception, we know to look for him in the Aquatorium's adjacent aeronautical museum dedicated to Octave Chanute and the Tuskegee Airmen.
Step-Father of the Groom
Tom has been Andy’s stepdad since Andy was a long-haired, entitled teenager stealing pocket change off his dresser. Tom never said a word, and always intentionally kept the dresser well stocked for pilfering. He’s been a great companion for Becky and we’re excited to celebrate with him and his sons Steve and Tom, daughter-in-law Pati, and granddaughters Gabi and Bia.
