FAQs

Question

Is the ceremony going to be a Catholic Wedding Mass?

Answer

Yes! The Mass will be about an hour long and will be a faithful reflection of the covenant that we will be entering into with God. Holy Communion will be offered for practicing Catholics in a state to receive the Eucharist, but everyone is welcome to come forward to the altar for an individual blessing.

Question

Will there be a place for young children during Mass?

Answer

Yes! There will be a "cry room" for your little ones that like to vocalize their emotions. The room will also have a live video feed of the ceremony so you won't miss a thing!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

To preserve the spirit of worship, please refrain from all cell phone use (including photography) while inside the chapel. We ask that all phones be silenced and put away. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures which we will share with you. Once the Mass is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like and don't forget to share them with us!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day, but comfort is a must. Jeans/denim without holes are acceptable, but please avoid shades of white. Please dress for the weather as the reception is not air conditioned nor heated.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Mass will begin at 2:00pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to allow time for parking and finding your seat.

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name on our site when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited. However, we encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself! For those of you that will be bringing your children, please be sure to watch them closely.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 16th by clicking the RSVP tab in the menu above. If you do not RSVP in time we will assume that you are unable to attend.

Question

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

The reception has free on-site parking. Please carpool if possible as space will be limited. You are allowed to leave your vehicle overnight at the reception if need be, but it must be picked up by 10am Sunday. We will have parking attendants to guide you at the reception. Please do not leave vehicles at Risen Savior Catholic Church.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will have beer, wine and seltzers for a hosted bar. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be provided.

Question

Will there be a shuttle bus?

Answer

There will be a shuttle bus ONLY running from the reception to Grand Falls Casino. Pickup times at the reception will be 10:30p and 11:30p. The shuttle will be announced at the reception, but please be prompt so they can stick to the schedule.
