Robert & Amyre met in her sophomore year & his junior year of college. They both attended Georgia State University. They lived two doors down from each other when they met for the first time in the hallway. It was a "meant to be" encounter as Robert was coming back to his apartment & Amyre was leaving hers. Amyre & Robert had mutual friends at the time & heard of each other often but never met due to opposite work hours. Since their first encounter, they were inseparable (even though it took 3 months to become "official"). Their first date, Robert surprised Amyre and took her to a sushi restaurant because she told him she never had it (little did he know, it was by choice) but Amyre, even with her picky ways, didn't want to be rude & tried nigiri. This was the beginning of Amyre's sushi addiction & Robert would soon regret he introduced her :) Jokes aside, Robert & Amyre have had amazing experiences together. They have traveled to 8 countries together (Japan 7 times... Amyre would move, if possible, but Robert isn't convinced...yet). The most significant part of their relationship was the adoption of their fur baby, Yui-Chan. If you don't know who Yui is, not sure why you are coming to the wedding... she is only The Shiba Inu of our generation. Though both sides of the family were weary of this commitment, now the families greet Yui first (& only pay attention to her) & love to baby sit when they can. Amyre & Robert graduated in Finance & have both taken different but exceptional routes with their careers. Robert is now working for New York Life Insurance as a Real Estate Senior Associate with almost 5 years of experience in the Real Estate sector. He is also earning his MBA at Emory University which is the top MBA program in Georgia. Amyre went into corporate finance right after college & has worked for Comcast, Siemens, & now Aaron's. She is currently working in Risk Finance and Analytics with 4 years of financial analytic experience. Amyre & Robert are extremely excited to be finally married after being together for 7 years. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, their wedding plans were halted but now, they feel comfortable to have their friends & family celebrate their unity. They are very appreciative for the people who have supported them & can't wait to have everyone's love around them October 1st.
