What is the dress code?

Answer

Bella Collina is a BEAUTIFUL Tuscan-style country club. They require a certain dress code for attendees! Ladies and gentleman, the dress code is FORMAL ATTIRE! Take this awesome opportunity to get all dressed up in your best to come party with us all night long as this gorgeous venue! Women: Floor-length formal gowns Men: Formal suits or tuxedos

What is the weather like in this area in late February?

Answer

Historically, temperatures are in the 70's during the days in February in Florida! Temperatures typically fall to the 60's after the sun sets. Being it that this event is outdoors for the majority of the time, keep in mind that the night time hours could be cooler so dress accordingly! We do have heaters on standby in the event that it will be cooler than normal. If we timed this right, the temperature should be BEAUTIFUL out both day and night for our special day!

Is there any significance to this particular date/weekend?

Answer

YES! Amy and Alyssa were engaged on their 10 year anniversary on February 25th, 2017. They decided then that they wanted to get married on their 15 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors located on the ballroom verandah at Bella Collina! The reception will also be outside on the grand lawn! The reception continuation/After party will take the party inside the wine cellar and large ballroom for some surprises and more dancing! We have to move inside due to the venue's noise ordinance for its' individuals who live on the grounds that begins at 10:00pm. Please stay with us until our sparkler send-off at 11:30!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Following our ceremony, the brides, families, and bridal party will be taking pictures while the rest of our guests are ushered over to the Bella Collina reflection pond for cocktail hour! Here is where you will be able to enjoy some delicious hors d'oeuvres and drinks before dinner!

What is the wedding theme?

Answer

We wanted to mesh together our three favorite things! Predominantly, the theme will be Beauty and the Beast with references to Harry Potter and The Office as well! :)

I thought you guys were getting married at Disney?

Answer

That was our plan, yes! Due to COVID-19, numerous restrictions at Disney would have made our wedding weekend become something that we did not want it to be. However, we absolutely are IN LOVE with our new venue and its' dreaminess! To make things even better, we are still able to incorporate our Disney theme! Things work out in mysterious ways and now our wedding night will be even more special!

What are the brides favorite Disney characters?

As our friends and family know well, both brides are HUGE Disney fans! Alyssa's favorite princess is Belle from Beauty in the Beast! Amy's favorite princess is Mulan from Mulan!

Who is taking whose last name?

Answer

We have decided to BOTH change our names! Our new last name will be..... King Ewald :) Mrs. and Mrs. King Ewald

What about COVID?

Answer

We understand that this is a concern. We understand it even moreso given both of us work in healthcare. Our venue staff will be masked, hand sanitizing stations will be set up, and both the ceremony and reception are taking place outdoors. The venue itself is very rural, in the middle of nowhere, on rolling hills in Montverde. About as open and full of fresh air that you can find in Florida. We will not be mandating vaccination or testing prior to the wedding. As a nurse practitioner, Alyssa does recommend getting vaccinated in general to protect yourself. We invite you to wear a mask if it makes you feel more comfortable. If you are experiencing COVID symptoms within a few days of the wedding, we ask that you not attend. In this case, please immediately reach out to either bride so we can let our vendors know.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Bella Collina is about 2 hours away from the Seminole/Largo area where the brides live. From this area, there are a few options for arriving at the venue. 1) You are able to travel all the way down I4 until your navigation turns you back west around the Disney Springs area. 2) Your navigation can bring you off an exit from I4 in Lakeland down winding country roads with a more direct drive to the venue. The brides would recommend using Waze or Google Maps to find the location. They also recommend that you get a decent idea of where you're going about 20ish minutes away from the venue as, being in the middle of nowhere, reception for your phone carrier signal could drop. Remember that I4 traffic is hit or miss and driving to the venue on a Friday afternoon can be iffy. Leave with plenty of time allotted in the event of traffic, having an issue finding the venue, and for what will be required once you arrive on campus.

What about arriving and parking at the venue?

Answer

PLEASE give yourself plenty of time to arrive so as to be able to take your time parking and making your way to your seats for the ceremony. It is very important to the brides that you show up earlier and not late. When you arrive at the venue, you will turn right into what is a gated entrance. You will show your IDs and be checked on our guest list that we will be providing the gate security. You will then be guided around the venue to where you will be parking! Please give yourself an extra 20-30 minutes to proceed in, be checked in, and park!

Why is the RSVP link no longer working?

Answer

Hi! The brides have officially closed the RSVP link and have sent a spreadsheet of their expected guests to each of their 12 vendors. At this point, we cannot make any changes! Thank you for your understanding.

I want to make sure I do not match the bridal party! What colors are they wearing?

Answer

Our wedding colors are gold/champagne gold, burgundy/cabernet, and navy blue!
