We love your kids—we really do. However, we ask that our wedding festivities be an adult affair only. We are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Use our wedding event as a day off !
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
Cocktail or traditional Nigerian attire. Guidelines on Cocktail attire: Examples of cocktail attire for men: suit and tie to a nice dress shirt with slacks. Examples of cocktail attire for women: a cocktail to mid-length dress to a fun polished jumpsuit. Please refrains from wearing jeans or shorts. Nigerian attires: Bright colorful African fabrics for men and women. This attire choice is optional. If you do not have African clothes, you can wear your cocktail outfits.
Yes. The ceremony will follow traditional American customs. The reception will be infused with Nigerian customs. For example, wearing Nigerian clothes, spraying money on the newlyweds while they are dancing, etc....) Explanation of Money Spray: “Spraying” is the highlight of the Nigerian wedding reception. Guests spray the couple with cash on the dance floor as a way of showering them with blessings and to keep them dancing on. There’s usually a live band and a DJ playing afrobeat, hip-hop, traditional, and contemporary music.Fill your wallet with singles and get ready to party Side note: Participating in money spray is optional. If you forget your cash, no worries, just enjoy yourselves.
Please be seated no later than 3:45 pm so that we are able to begin the ceremony at 4:00 pm.
Both ceremony and reception will be indoors in a climate-controlled tent.
Masks are optional. If you find yourself not feeling well, we prefer you stay home and get plenty of rest.
