Hamilton Pool Preserve

Key Details: Location: Texas Hill Country, west of Austin. Attractions: Natural pool with a 50-foot waterfall, hiking trails. Swimming: Currently closed due to high bacteria levels. Reservations: Required, can be made online. Fees: Reservation fee ($12 online) and a day-use fee ($8 cash). Activities: Hiking, sightseeing. History: The preserve is a collapsed grotto, a natural cave near water, formed by years of water erosion, according to Fearless Captivations.
