We'll be outside in the middle of a North Carolina summer so it will be hot. We want all our guests to be relaxed and we don't want anyone overheating! Please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, and feel free to express yourself! And ladies, we'll be getting married with our toes in the sand and dancing the night away on a rock patio so take these into consideration when thinking about footwear.
We love your kids - we really do! However, to keep our wedding small and intimate, we ask that you take a weekend off and leave the kids at home.
Nope. The resort doesn't have cellphone reception. That's one of the things we love about it! We'll be in the middle of Pisgah National Forest so please join us in taking time to unplug and unwind. Wifi is available at the Rock Pavilion in the center of the resort, but will not be available in each individual cabin/yurt.
There are cabins and yurts at Brown Mountain. There are also 3 spots for RV hookup and tent camping sites. However, all of these accommodations still aren't enough space for all our loved ones. The bride and groom will reach out to you to let you know if you'll be on-site. Don't fret if you're not! There are beautiful hotels nearby that come highly recommended by the venue.
Please refer to our tab "Supplies For The Weekend" on this website. Brown Mountain Beach Resort is a unique venue and a little more planning will be involved to make sure everyone has what they need all weekend. But trust us - it'll be worth it!
**Update 5/13/21** Brown Mountain now makes Woodfire Pizza on site! Pizzas will be available for purchase on Friday and Saturday for lunch, making your stay a little easier and more delicious! Please note that Brown Mountain Beach Resort is remote - it will be a drive to get to a grocery store and there are no fast food options close by. There is also no restaurant or coffee shop on-site. We recommend bringing snacks and a few breakfast and lunch options with you to the resort. Each cabin and yurt has its own kitchen and there are grills on-property. Meals that will be provided by the bride and groom include; the Welcome Dinner on Thursday night, dinner at the Wedding Reception Friday night, the BBQ Dinner on Saturday night (note: we'll be providing sides, please bring your own protein), and a Farewell Brunch on Sunday morning.
