Arii was celebrating his birthday at the bar where Alyssa happened to be working. While Arii spent most of the night ordering drinks from her friend, they both kept locking eyes from across the bar, a silent conversation unfolding. Eventually—fueled by a little liquid courage—Arii closed his tab, only to slide a few feet over and finally order from Alyssa herself. At the end of our conversation, he handed over the receipt with his number scribbled on the front of it, along with a bold (and slightly confusing but courageous) compliment: “I want to steal your eyes.” Weird? Maybe. Memorable? Definitely. Somehow it worked, and Arii got Alyssa’s number! A week later, Arii returned to the bar. This time, they both talked for hours, smiling at one another, and of course laughed over the pickup line that started it all. By the end of the night, Arii asked Alyssa on a date. Their first date—a casual brunch—turned into an unexpected 12-hour adventure. From brunch to bar hopping, from bar hopping to a night walk around the DC monuments, Alyssa and Arii just clicked. From that moment, they were no longer strangers—they were something more and have been inseparable ever since. In May 2025, Arii brought Alyssa to his home country of Colombia for a special trip. Arii estaba celebrando su cumpleaños en el bar donde Alyssa trabajaba. Mientras Arii pasaba la mayor parte de la noche pidiendo bebidas a la amiga de Alyssa, ambos se miraban desde el otro lado del bar, desarrollando una conversación silenciosa. Finalmente, con un poco de ayuda del alcohol, Arii cerró su cuenta, solo para deslizarse unos pasos y pedir directamente con Alyssa. Al final de la conversación, le entregó el recibo con su número anotado al frente, junto con un piropo (un poco confuso valiente): "Quiero robarte los ojos". ¿Raro? Tal vez. ¿Inolvidable? Sin duda. De alguna manera funcionó, ¡y Arii consiguió el número de Alyssa! Una semana después, Arii regresó al bar. Esta vez, ambos hablaron durante horas, sonriéndose mutuamente y, por supuesto, riéndose del piropo que lo inició todo. Al final de la noche, Arii invitó a Alyssa a una cita. Su primera cita, un brunch casual, que se convirtió en una aventura inesperada de 12 horas. Desde el brunch hasta ir de bar en bar, y de bar en bar a un paseo nocturno por los monumentos de Washington DC, Alyssa y Arii simplemente conectaron. Desde ese momento, dejaron de ser extraños, eran algo más y han sido inseparables. En Mayo de 2025, Arii llevó a Alyssa a su país natal, Colombia, para un viaje especial.
