Yes! There is plenty of parking at the wedding venue and the venue is easy to access, you do not need a four wheel drive vehicle.
Please bring a: Tent Sleeping Pad Sleeping Bag Flashlight Water Bug Spray and Sunscreen Swimsuit (We are right on the river!) Cooler with any food you need on Sunday. Please do not bring any valuables!
Yes Southern Humboldt is remote! Our venue and the farm as well as the two recommended hotels are all in very easily accessible locations on major roads that require no four wheel drive. Make sure to have gas! in your tank! as their are few gas stations in the area. Try your best to bring any food you might need over the weekend as their are limited options. Know that there is extremely limited cell phone reception in all of Southern Humboldt including at our venue and on the farm. There will not be places to charge devices and their may or may not be cell phone service. Drive safe and alert on our windy country roads!
The address can be typed into google maps. Here are some directions. DIRECTIONS Beginnings is 5.7 miles west of Redway, CA just off of Briceland-Thorn Road. The official address is 5 Cemetery Road Redway, CA, but few map services can find that address, so: To get to us via 101 from the north: Take the Redway Exit and proceed 1.8 miles into Redway Turn right at the Briceland-Thorn road (sign says "Shelter Cove, Kings Range") Proceed 5.7 miles on the Briceland-Thorn Rd. Turn right just before the Briceland Township sign onto the Cemetery Road and proceed up the hill a short way. That's us! To get to us via 101 from the south: Take the Garberville Exit (639A) and proceed through downtown Garberville (Redwood Drive) Continue on Redwood Drive for 3.0 miles into Redway Turn left at the Briceland-Thorn road (sign says "Shelter Cove, Kings Range") Proceed 5.7 miles on the Briceland-Thorn Rd. Turn right just before the Briceland Township sign onto the Cemetery Road and proceed up the hill a short way. That's us!
