Question

*IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ*

Answer

A link provided by the Naval Base will be sent out to all guests and is REQUIRED to be completed in order to attend the reception. The reception will be on the Naval Base property and you will only be allowed access once this link has been filled out and approved by military police. If failure to do so, you will NOT be given access to the reception venue. When choosing to RSVP, please make sure the link is filled out. The military police have given strict orders and there will be no leeway given to any guest who may have forgotten to complete.

Question

How do I RSVP? What happens if I don't RSVP in time?

Answer

To RSVP, click the RSVP tab and type the name(s) listed on your envelope. Kindly RSVP by February 15th, 2024. If you are unable to attend, please let us know at the soonest opportunity. Any RSVPs received after this date will be marked as a "no". We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide the total guest count to the venue and the military base gate security in the timely manner they have given to us. Thank you for understanding!

Question

How do we access the Naval base for the reception if we are not military ID holders?

Answer

We will provide a guest list to the military gate guards upon your arrival. Please be prepared to show your driver's license when approaching the gate. If you are driving a rental car, you will be allowed to continue driving onto the base after presenting your identification. If you are arriving in an Uber or Lyft, you will have to exit the car at the gate, inform the gate guards, and they will direct you to our provided shuttle. Ubers and Lyfts are NOT allowed access on base.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at the church no later than 20 minutes before the ceremony. This will ensure parking availability, along with providing you and our ushers plenty of time to find a seat and make yourself comfortable.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We want to see you dress to impress! We are excited to have a formal wedding and ask all women to wear floor-length dresses and men to wear either a suit and tie or a tuxedo! Thank you!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest! As we have a strict guest list to stay within our venue's capacity and our budget, we can only accommodate those listed on your specific invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

We love your little ones- however, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of children in our immediate family. If we cannot invite your children, we hope you will see this as an opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy the party with us!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend staying in an area of San Diego nicknamed "Hotel Circle". For more information, please see our travel tab. :)

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be parking at both sites. Please plan to arrive early for the ceremony if driving. Once the parking lot is full, metered parking is required. Reception parking will only be for personal or rental cars. Uber and Lyft are NOT allowed on base. Please see, "How do we access the Naval Base for the reception if we are not military ID holders?"

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at The Immaculata Catholic Church (5998 Alcala Park Way, San Diego, CA 92110) and the reception will be held at the Island Club on Naval Station North Island (Naval Station North Island, Building X, Coronado, CA 92118). To access North Island, you will take the Coronado Bridge from downtown San Diego. Yes, it's an actual island! Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors, but the reception venue will have an outdoor patio along the beach for guest access.
