Depending on the weather, Lake Como is about 30 minutes south of Hamilton and offers hiking/biking trails, swimming and paddle sports, and picnic areas. Lovely place to spend an afternoon.

Jessi's Wine & Goods

100 Skeels Avenue, Hamilton, MT 59840

Jessi loves wine in that playful, thoughtful "ooh! have you ever tried. . . " kind of way. She knows the story of wines. Great spot to enjoy an appetizer, discover interesting wines and support a local gal doing what she loves.

Hike Blodgett Canyon

MT 59840

Located just 7 miles from town Blodgett is a moderate hike following a creek that offers stellar views.

Scenic Drive Skalkaho Pass

MT 59858

Up for a scenic drive?! Skalkaho pass is a dirt road that scales the Sapphire mountains to the east of town and connects you with another iconic, Montana smalltown - Philipsburg (https://www.visitphilipsburg.com/).

Float, Fish or Frolic along the Bitterroot River

MT

River Park, Hieronymous Park, Skalkaho Bend are all parks that allow you to meander the banks of the Bitterroot. It's also possible to arrange a guided fishing tour. Most boat rentals are located in Missoula so you'll want to arrange that ahead of time.

Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge

4567 Wild Fowl Lane, Stevensville, MT 59870

Michael and I did a naturalist class and this is great place if you're into bird watching. We've seen owls, eagles, and loads of ducks here.

Daly Mansion

251 Eastside Highway, Hamilton, MT 59840

Historical home of Marcus Daly - legendary copper king from Butte. Tours available.

Hamilton's Farmers Market

205 Bedford Street, Hamilton, MT 59840

Grab a coffee and stroll the Saturday morning market.
