Alissa moved to Denver in August of 2015 and gained a new friend and roommate named Makenna. Being new to the area Makenna invited Alissa to her boyfriend Craig’s house for a summer bbq and that is when Will and Alissa first met. Alissa knew she wanted to get to know Will much better based off of his ridiculously good looks and their mutual interests of biking and snowboarding but was shy to proceed. After months of occasionally seeing each other at friends gatherings and meeting at Trestle bike park in Winter Park, Will finally caught on to Alissa’s flirting and built up the courage to ask her to go on a bike ride together. Unfortunately, Alissa had to work later than usual that evening so she asked for a rain check. In August of 2016, Will gathered all of their friends together to go camping and biking in Winter Park, CO. It was the coldest night in the mountains and Alissa forgot her tent so Makenna mentioned out loud that Will should share his tent with her. They talked all night and slowly inched closer to each other due to the cold mountain air. The next day at the bike park they rode side by side and Alissa had a bad accident and flipped over her handle bars. Will was there to comfort her and help her down to the bottom. From there on their relationship had began. On their one year anniversary Alissa surprised Will with a trip to Crested Butte, CO for his birthday in August where they rode Evolution bike park and hiked/biked trail 401 with their new pup Yari. They decided to make Crested Butte their annual anniversary spot and on their second visit Will returned the surprise to Alissa by proposing! Alissa said it was the easiest question she had ever answered and now this mountainous ski town will forever be a memory filled destination and dear to their hearts.
