Alanna has always dreamed of Clayman. Right before their first date, Alanna had journaled about meeting someone special, writing down her hopes and intentions. Some people use dating apps casually, but Alanna and Clayman both had their distance set outside their towns in hopes of finding their soulmate, no matter how far. On January 22nd Clayman drove one and a half hours to have breakfast with Alanna. The food was terrible, but Clayman enjoyed every second of their breakfast. Not wanting the date to end, they then walked around downtown Fort Myers and stopped in various stores; Alanna gifted Clayman a crystal. They sat on a bench and talked for hours. If not for an impending appointment, both would have stayed there. A few days later, Alanna drove to Bradenton where they explored downtown Bradenton, played pool, and shared their first kiss. Six days after first meeting, January 28th, Clayman was back in Ft. Myers and Alanna asked Clayman out. The following week Clayman told her he loved her—though he knew from their first date.
