Randy and Alanna met in passing one evening in March. They exchanged high-fives and pleasantries and Randy didn't know how to pronounce her name. He recalls seeing her in a green coat and thinking "I'm going to date her." Alanna thought he was really cute. A few weeks later, Randy reached out via Facebook messenger to tease her about talking to another guy (which Alanna, to this day, swears she was not). The conversation flowed online and on April 5, the two met up for coffee. Randy was moving to Alanna's town for work and Alanna, true to her form, decided to move in with him after like, two days. They've lived together ever since. July 5, 2024 will mark six years since they made it official. In those six years, they moved from a basement, to an apartment, and now to a beautiful home in Alexandria, VA. They have each furthered their careers and opened their hearts (albeit a bit impulsively) to two perfect dogs, thanks to Craigslist. They have traveled to Mexico, to Georgia, to NYC, to Charleston, and enjoy grabbing a cheesy magnet as a souvenir. They love to explore, to order appetizers, and feel absolutely complete with one another. On November 22, 2023, Randy proposed in Old Town Alexandria with a ring he designed, right beside the Christmas Tree in Market Square. Randy and Alanna will be saying "I do" on October 12, 2024, less than a mile from where he proposed, and are so excited to celebrate with their family and closest friends.
