How we met

10/17/16

We were first introduced to each other by Alaina’s dad and Nathan’s mom, at Pine Grove Baptist Church’s homecoming! Nathan was in a Southern Gospel band, called Trinity 3, and Alaina’s dad was pastor of the church! God couldn’t have planned it better! We both started following each other on social media and slowly started talking to each other. That was all she wrote! We’re so thankful for each other and cannot wait to start our lives together. ♥️

Proposal story

09/21/21

Alaina’s point of view: We got engaged the 21st night of September (Que Earth, Wind, and Fire) We were going to Atlanta to see our favorite comedian John Mulaney who was one of the first things we bonded over back when we first started dating. After the show and dinner we went back to our AirBnB and sat out on the balcony over the city. As I got up to take pictures of all the city lights, Nathan was behind me getting on one knee waiting for me to turn around. It was a huge surprise and we both were so very very happy that night! I will forever remember it. Nathan’s point of view: I got the tickets as a “birthday present” so she wouldn’t be suspicious. I never would’ve guessed it would work! After the show, we went to dinner and ate the best steak of our lives. I was so excited though, I could barely eat. We finally went back to the AirBnB and sat out on the balcony. She got up to take pictures of the city, and I knew I had to get down quick so she wouldn’t notice me. I was so nervous, and she was taking forever to turn around so finally I had to fake cough. Lol. Once she turned around, it took a second for her to realize what was happening. Then she did, and of course, she said yes! We were both so happy, I don’t think we knew about anything else, except us, in that moment. ♥️
