Things To Do

Chicagoland is a huge area filled with lots of things to do! Here are a few recommendations!

Lincoln Park Zoo

2001 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614
, (312) 742-2000

The Lincoln Park Zoo is free for visitors and has many child friendly exhibits! The entrance by Cafe Bauer has a spectacular view of downtown Chicago. I volunteered in their conservation research lab during the summer of 2019.

Fermilab

Kirk Road, Batavia, IL 60510
, (630) 840-3000

See where all of Chris's research (and frustration) happens! Fermilab offers tours to the public, and even when there are not tours scheduled, visitors can explore Wilson Hall to learn the basics of particle physics, hang out at the User Center, or see the Buffalo grazing on campus.

Solemn Oath Brewery

1661 Quincy Avenue, Naperville, IL 60540
, (630) 995-3062

Solemn Oath is one of the best breweries in the Chicago area, bar none. It can even keep pace with some Colorado breweries.

Two Brothers Tap House

30W315 Calumet Avenue West, Warrenville, IL 60555
, (630) 393-2337

Located near Fermilab, this brewery offers inventive beers that are occassionally fermilab inspired.

Devon Ave

Devon Ave, Chicago, IL

Devon Avenue's "Desi Street," also known as little India, hosts Pakistani and Indian restaurants, stores, and markets. It is home to one of the oldest and largest South Asian communities in North America and has some of the best food in Chicago.
