How we met: Todd and Abigail decided to make an online dating profile on Facebook. After meeting with a few stinkers, both thought meeting mr/miss right was impossible. Then in January 2021, Todd found Abby's profile. He really liked what he saw and what she had to say. He sent her a message on Facebook. But not just the standard message of "hi, how are you. what are you looking for in a guy? What do you want out of life. Blah blah blah". Instead, Todd went a different route with his questions. Questions like, "if you could train a pig to use the litter box, would you be cool with having one as a pet? Which Muppet do you most relate to? Do you think Jon Snow got a fair punishment in the end? Are you just on here to harvest/sell my organs on the black market?" With questions like that, how could Abby not respond back? They talked online for awhile and eventually exchanged phone numbers. After much texting, Todd asked if Abby wanted to meet for dinner. Abby wasn't ready yet and said no. Blaming Covid as the reason but that was a lie. She was just scared of meeting new people and potentially another stinker. After a couple more weeks of talking/texting, Abby agreed to meet for dinner. With Abby living in Canal Fulton and Todd living in Lodi, they met halfway at an Applebees in Wadsworth. On the way to the restaurant, Abby thought of every excuse in the book to cancel on this guy. Flat tire, family emergency, bad stomach ache, etc. But then Abby thought, what if this is it? What if he's the one? So, she went through with the date. Of course, she got to the restaurant late and saw Todd standing inside waiting for her. She sat in her car for a bit and watched him to make sure he seemed......normal. Todd and Abby had a lovely dinner of awkward conversations and over sharing of their personal lives. After dinner they shook elbows (because covid) and went on their way. The next day, Abby was over the moon to see that Todd sent her a text. After that, the rest is history! Todd and Abigail fell in love in 2021, moved in together in 2022, got engaged in 2023 and soon to be married in 2024! The Proposal: It was an ordinary boring warm summer night at the Warner/Herald household. Todd was watching tv. Abby took a shower. Abby, dressed in pj’s with wet hair, came downstairs to watch tv with Todd. Todd decided to run upstairs for a bit. Eventually, he came downstairs in pants and a hoodie. It was 80 degrees out. He paced around the house for a bit. Acting very strange. Eventually he came over to the couch. Abby was in the middle of brushing her hair. Todd insisted she watch a video. Abby explained she was in the middle of brushing hair. Todd insisted she watch “right now!”. Abby was annoyed. But, oh that video! It was William Daniels sitting at home. He played Mr. George Feeny in Boy Meets World. A favorite show of Abby’s. The video was personally made for her and Mr. Daniels started off by wishing Abby a happy birthday (it was two days before her birthday)! Abby thought the video would end there, but Mr. Daniels continued. He explained that Todd had a very important question to ask! That was when Todd took the ring out of the pocket of his hoodie (it was all he could find so that he could hide the ring). Of course, she said yes! “When you find love, hold onto it and cherish it. Because there is nothing finer.”
