Aaron and Savvy met on June 2022 on Bumble. They both noticed on the app that the other liked going to anime conventions and swiped right to match. Little did they know, they just missed each other during Fanime 2022 just a few weeks before. Savvy wrote to Aaron and Aaron immediately responded that he was going to go see a musical in San Francisco and promised to respond more later. She was lowkey jealous that he was going to see a musical! After he came back, they were texting each other non-stop on various topics, including anime, video games, and food. After a week during their continuous conversation, Aaron asked Savvy out on their first date. Aaron and Savvy got to learn about each other some more during that first date at Off the Grid and Bowlero. Aaron got to see Savvy’s intense passion and focus while Savvy got to see Aaron’s enthusiasm and humor. A month later, Aaron and Savvy went on their second date and decided to continue to pursue their newfound relationship. Aaron and Savvy continued to date for a year and a half while they were separated by 880 and 580. They have been through some adventures including the NorCal Renaissance Faire, Disneyland, SacAnime, and California/Oregon State border. On January 2024, Savvy took the leap of faith, and jumped to Contra Costa County to see how life is living with Aaron. They learned a lot more things about each other, whether they were bad, good, or neutral.

Aaron knew for sometime that he wanted to take that next step with Savvy and pop the big question before she turned 30. He and her best friend, Sav, scouted on different proposal spots since it’s a Small World was under refurbishment. Aaron knew that Soarin’ was one of Savvy’s favorite rides and thought it would be the perfect spot. On October 22, 2024, Sav directed Aaron and Savvy to be in front of the airplane at Grizzly Peak Airfield so she could take pictures of them together. Little did Savvy know that Aaron was going to get down on one knee and ask her to spend the rest of her life with him. She broke down crying (happily of course) and exclaimed, “Yes!”.
