Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Aneesa Andrabi and Othmane Ouhaddach
We are so excited to welcome you to Claremont, California—Aneesa’s hometown, and a place that has become quite special to us both. We hope you enjoy your time here, and get the opportunity to explore! We’ve compiled a list of recommendations below. Please reach out to either of us if you have questions!

Explore the Claremont Village

Stroll through the Claremont Village—a walkable downtown area full of cute shops, cafés, and tree-lined streets. Make sure to stop by the Historic Packing House! On Sundays, there is a great Farmer’s Market on Harvard Ave, where you’ll walk past the Andrabi’s first home in 1988. Suggestions for the day: - Creme - excellent bakery with great sandwiches + pastries. - Some crust - milk chocolate chunk cookie is a must! - Iron & kin in Claremont’s historic packing house for coffee (lovely drip, matcha & lattes) -42nd Street Bagel - Made fresh in house! - Petiscos - a cute and casual spot for tacos. & the evening: - Eureka Burger - southern-California burger chain! - Uno Tre Otto - a small and cozy Italian restaurant. Incredible farm to table food, a favorite for Tahir and Shaila! -Kody Izakaya - a new, highly-rated small and cozy Japanese izakaya serving yakitori.

Stroll through the California Botanic Garden

1500 North College Avenue, Claremont, CA 91711

Visit the California Botanic Garden for a peaceful walk among native plants.

Picnic at the Claremont Colleges

747 North Dartmouth Avenue, Claremont, CA 91711

Grab sandwiches at Wolfe’s Market, cheese and crackers at the Cheese Cave, or falafel and shawarma at Saca’s in the Village and bring it to the colleges for a picnic on the Marston Quad (super close to our venue & Aneesa's childhood home) Visit the James Turrell Skyspace on the Pomona College campus for a lightshow just before sunset. Check out the Benton Museum of Art. Go for a walk and check out the Pomona College Farm. Grab coffee at the Motley and wander around the Scripps campus and the orange grove—make sure to stop by the Margaret Fowler Memorial Garden to see a mural by well-known Mexican artist Alfredo Ramon Martinez.

Go Thrifting!!

Do some thrift shopping—some of our favorite vintage stores include DeeLux, Replay Vintage in the Packing House, and the brand new Astrid + Aziel! If you have a car, you may consider visiting Antique Row in Pomona (about a 10 minute drive from Claremont).

Eat @ Patty's Mexican Food

1332 North Towne Avenue, Claremont, CA 91711

Check out the iconic Pattie’s for home made tortillas and the best burritos in town. This was an Andrabis classic, post Aneesa’s cross country, Nafeesa’s band practice or Mohi’s basketball. Don’t forget cash!

Hike in the Angeles Forest

Low key hiking: Wilderness Loop - a 5-mile loop in the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park. Fairly exposed so make sure to wear sunscreen or a hat! Potato Mountain - a moderate climb through oak forests with some great views! In the mountains (best for somewhat experienced hikers, about a 25-minute drive from Village): Cucamonga Peak via Icehouse Canyon - this is a longer hike, but you can always do part of it, have a picnic by the creek, and turn around. t’s worth it for the beautiful views. Sunset Peak - flatter than Cucamonga Peak, but just as beautiful. For serious hikers, consider summiting Mt. Baldy (highest point in LA County at 10,064 feet)!! It’s a long hike so you’ll want to start by sunrise (but totally worth it). most popular routes (Baldy Bowl / Ski Hut Trail and Devil’s Backbone Trail) both start at the Manker Flats trailhead. For these options near Baldy Village, if you’re hungry after your hike, check out the Buckhorn Lodge & Restaurant for a bite!

Explore Historic Pomona

Pomona, CA

Explore Downtown Pomona! Tierra Mia - Mexican-style coffee shop chain with a location in Pomona (which has a drive-thru!). Known for their horchata latte! Mi Cafecito - cute little coffee shop in Pomona.

Eat @ In-N-Out Burger

1837 Foothill Boulevard, Upland, CA 91786

Eat at In-N-Out Burger (also great for dinner or a late-night snack!) - we are blessed to have three different locations within a 2-mile radius of the Claremont Village. In-N-Out is a California experience you won’t want to miss! For those into the ~Famous Secret Menu~: Order chopped chillis in your burger (make it double double if you’re crazy), protein style if you’re GF and don’t want a bun, don’t forget ANIMAL STYLE fries, you can even ask for more chopped chillies on the side and add them to your ketchup for a spicy ketchup situation!!, Michael Jackson milkshake if you want vanilla AND chocolate… enjoy!
