“My husband and I got married on a hiking trail near Seattle in 2015. We lived in Nashville, and had never even been to Seattle, yet we had a trip planned there and decided to elope. I found Tyler's photography website online, and immediately could tell his style was exactly what I was looking for. The entire time leading up to our trip, Tyler's communication was excellent and he went above and beyond to make sure our elopement went exactly like we wanted it to. He even let me ride with him to our elopement spot, as my soon-to-be husband rode with our officiant (we wanted to do a first look, so I didn't want to ride in the same vehicle). We didn't have a specific plan for that day, but Tyler facilitated it so effortlessly -- as if it had been planned all along. He suggested a first look at the base of the hiking trail, and after that we hiked together until we found a good clearing in the woods for the little ceremony. When that was over, we hiked the rest of the way to the top, where we took a few more photos and signed our wedding license. Tyler even surprised us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate! Tyler, his assistant, and our officiant were the only ones there besides my husband and I, and we enjoyed the day together as if we had been friends all along. Now that I've made it clear how highly I think of Tyler's communication, suggestions, and helpfulness, I'll add that his photography is incredible. I wasn't sure how the pictures would turn out, as our elopement day was overcast and seemed to be on the brink of rain-- but as soon as I saw them for the first time, I was blown away. In the years following, several people have told me our wedding photos are the best they have ever seen. Tyler took a beautiful location, and truly did it justice with his camera- a feat not every photographer can achieve. (And to think half of the photos were taken WHILE he was hiking alongside with us!) I love traveling everywhere and anywhere, talking with my hands, buying plants (and attempting to keep them alive), and spending as much time as I can with my loved ones. I have lived in Boston, Paris, and New York City, and am now lucky enough to call Charleston home, while also still traveling the world for my clients. You can usually find me on my back porch in downtown Charleston, right next to my favorite little park.

“tldr: Jessica is amazing and I don’t think you can go wrong with her if this is the style of photos you like I had a lot of difficulty picking a photographer as I’m pretty picky with photos. I knew I wanted something bright and light, with kind of a whimsical or ethereal vibe, but it was really hard finding the style until I came across the “fine art” style. Jessica’s name came up while researching this style and I decided to reach out to her among a few other fine art photographers. I definitely hoped talks would go well with Jessica as the others I contacted ended up either not responding or were wildly out of my budget. Pre-Planning: Jessica was wonderful throughout this process. She promptly responded to my emails and answered questions clearly. I never felt like I was left in the dark for any part of the process. When I sent her the timeline of the ceremony/reception, she quickly came up with a timeline to slot in all the photos to be taken ahead of time at the location (We had access to the venue for a little over an hour prior to the ceremony). She also asked for a list of family photos that we wanted to take. This made it very easy at the wedding as she could call out people’s name to make sure everyone that was supposed to be in the pictures, were in the pictures. Jessica also sent over a list of ideas for detail shots and explained she could do this ahead of time. We didn’t want extra pictures of these and decided against it, however, I still thought it was very thoughtful of her to offer. Wedding Day: I loved her energy at the wedding. She was very calm and felt very competent. She directed my husband and I throughout the pictures, showing us poses etc. During family and wedding party photos, even though we had many bodies to fit in the frame in quite a few pictures, she led us through them with ease and the entire experience was very stress free (or as stress free as can be at a wedding lol). The venue was quite dim at specific locations, but the final results did not reflect that at all. The pictures were bright and did not look like they were taken in the dark at all. (This is a little off topic but I loved the little apron with pockets she wore for her equipment. So cute) I’m not sure when Jessica had the time, but there were pictures around the venue which were so beautiful. I definitely feel like the day was captured through the pictures. Post Wedding: Jessica sent us a sneak peak 2 days after the wedding containing 23 pictures. They turned out great and were beautiful. You can see examples on her website so I won’t elaborate, but they really are that good. The full gallery was sent almost a month after the wedding (minus 2 days) with instructions on purchasing prints or an album attached. The full download contained 650ish files, including the sneak peek pictures. Half of which were black and white, so this matched up pretty perfectly with Jessica’s estimation of the amount of photos when we spoke in the pre-planning stage.”

I've been taking photos for seven years while I have owned my own wedding band that has performed all throughout the south. I think it's important to laugh and it's even more important that you feel like you look your best.

“I want to set the tone. I’m a single mom who met the man of her dreams after moving to a rural city from Atlanta. He decides he wants to marry me very quickly and I have only a few months to plan a wedding. My budget is extremely small, but my family is very large. No matter what, there’s going to be at least 100 people there. It’s a month before the big day, and I’m frantically trying to find a photographer within my price range. My cousin finds Tasteful Tea and Charissa…essentially making the best possible decision ever for my wedding. She’s sweet, kind, and talented; willing to meet you where you are as far as planning or vision. She helping me pull off this spectacular day for under 6k and made it look fabulous in the process. She asked about potential poses, gave tips on crucial moments and wanted to know every detail from faces/names/relationships to moments I wanted captured. “Andrew isn’t just a photographer—he’s an artist, a professional, and someone who became a true friend throughout our wedding journey. We originally hired Andrew as part of our New Orleans wedding dream team. I found him by going through tagged photos of our original venue—while most looked similar (lots of light and airy styles), every time a photo stood out to me as creative, candid, moody, or just flat-out cool… it was always one of Andrew’s. I knew I had to have him. I was thrilled when he was available for our big day—and even more blown away when he was excited to pivot with us when our plans completely changed. After we found out we were expecting a baby—and due the same week as our NOLA wedding—we made the tough decision to cancel the original event. We rescheduled everything on a tight timeline and relocated the wedding to Massachusetts. Andrew didn’t hesitate. He was all in, genuinely enthusiastic, and just as committed to making the new plan feel special. He made the long trip to MA with the most positive energy and attitude, and from start to finish, he made the process so fun. He and my planner Donna instantly clicked—they truly partnered up and helped bring our reimagined wedding to life. Watching them work together felt like magic. Andrew’s photography style is incredible. He has such range—editorial, moody, candid, light and airy—he blends them in a way that feels completely unique. His shots never feel staged or predictable; they’re emotional, rich, and full of life. He gave us just enough direction to get gorgeous, creative shots, while also encouraging us to interact naturally. It was the perfect balance. My husband hates taking pictures—he’s normally wide-eyed and frozen or giving a fake smile. But Andrew completely changed that. He made him feel relaxed and confident, and the difference in the photos was unreal. Every shot looked natural and joyful. We did both our engagement shoot and wedding with Andrew, and my husband—who initially grumbled about even hiring a photographer—ended up loving working with him. On top of all that, Andrew was incredibly professional, communicative, and responsive the entire way through. And somehow, despite all the stress of replanning a wedding in 12 weeks, he kept us grounded and laughing the whole time. One of my favorite moments he captured was this Beatles-style shot of us crossing the street—it was creative, playful, and so us. Everyone who’s seen it has commented on how cool it is. Andrew didn’t just deliver photos—he delivered art and a genuinely amazing experience. I can’t imagine having had anyone else by our side. Book him while you can.”
