“What a dream Emilee was to work with, from start to finish. OUR CEREMONY PARTY: we decided on a private, courthouse elopement on a Wednesday, a 60 person reception party on a Friday. In both, our biggest priority was having a photographer capture the intimate, joyful small details. We went with Emilee because of her eye for the beauty in the small things. She captured both our days perfectly. DOCUMENTARY STYLE: Emilee was perfect behind the scenes, capturing beautiful moments of our friends and family, small details of the courthouse with just us. I look back at some of these photos and ask "how did she even get that?!" She has such an eye. POSED: We had about 20 minutes dedicated to posed, family photos during our reception. Emilee had our families relaxed and laughing, quickly swapping members in and out. In some newlywed photos, we sought her advice for how to pose. From the very first interaction, their communication was quick, friendly, and super detailed - they clearly cared about making our day perfect. And that's exactly what they delivered. I chose to have live piano and violin at my ceremony and they sounded beautiful together. They played every song I requested with depth and precision- even the fairly new music (I requested Birds of a Feather for the recessional, and they NAILED it!) They provided mics to the musicians and the officiant stand, which ended up being a lifesaver for us. The DJ and violinist were both fun and talented, keeping the dance floor packed all night long. The day felt blissful and a key point for us was that we got to enjoy the day without it feeling solely like a photoshoot which I think speaks to Lucias talent and confidence in her craft. She was good at giving guiding advice for posing without us feeling posed. I put together a Pinterest board and shot list which she really did a great job pulling inspiration from. The photos are stunning and the exact style we envisioned. Also, our sneak peak was huge and she got them to us very fast. If you are torn between photographers or are just starting your research, you're in very safe hands to stop here. We hope to continue reaching out to Lucia in the future when we start a family.”

What do you imagine your wedding to be like? Imagination is a nice gift we have. It helps us building our identities and shaping our individual uniqueness. Imagining carries a degree of anticipation, depending on our past experiences and who we are, of how something that hasn't happened yet is going to be when it actually happens. Like traveling to a place where we've never been before and we take photos of its landscapes and people living there: we tend to capture in those photographs how we had imagined that place.
