She was clear, communicative, and professional, but every time we talked it still felt like talking to an old friend. (Several of our guests assumed that she WAS an old friend of ours who happened to be a photographer — that’s how warm and chill she is.) Ahead of time she was great about getting details of exactly what we wanted, so that on the big day she just slipped in and out seamlessly without pulling us away from the fun. She was also careful to figure out exactly what we wanted the vibes of the final product to be (candid, colorful, joyful) and she delivered in spades. The finished products are beautiful and were delivered quickly (both the digital copies and the physical prints we ordered). We cannot recommend her highly enough!”

“This review took me a while to write, but we used Hannah Elizabeth Events for our wedding on May 25, 2025. I can truly say that my wedding could not have gone as smoothly as it did, without them. Hannah was incredibly kind, professional, and amazing over the phone during our preliminary calls. She managed to create a timeline for our day and organized everything with all of our vendors to keep everyone on track and the same page. She thought of things that I did not, and would not, even think of. She also ensured that I stayed on track with the items I needed to accomplish, which was very helpful. For our actual rehearsal and wedding day, we worked with Emily. Emily and her assistant were absolute angels who helped to make our wedding the perfect day. They truly went above and beyond on our day. An example is that we were supposed to pick up all of our ceremony chairs (approximately 70 chairs) before sunset. When I started to collect people to help with chairs during the reception, Emily stated that she had already collected them and put them where they needed to be. She did not have to do this at all, but it took a huge weight off our shoulders and allowed us to fully enjoy our reception. They also stayed after the wedding ended to help us clean up and get everything finalized for the venue. Overall, the staff from Hannah Elizabeth Events went above and beyond for our day, and I cannot say enough good things. Their price was affordable for all of the services that they provide, and the quality of their work. I don’t think I could have picked a better planning company. They are so knowledgeable and are willing to go above and beyond to make your wedding day perfect. If you are on the fence about getting a month of/ day of coordinator, I would absolutely recommend it. I don’t think my day would have been as successful as it was, and I would choose Hannah Elizabeth events again and again.”

We were introduced to Lisa through our planner. The first call helped us understand how she works, what’s typical for wedding floral vendors, and what kinds of packages she offers. Lisa’s warm, a good listener, and even in the first call exudes expertise and style. Immediately confident she could do the job well. I love how she structured her proposals—she gave us an easy slide deck with colors, sample florals and greenery, vessel options, altar shapes, and other design details. “What a dream Emilee was to work with, from start to finish. OUR CEREMONY PARTY: we decided on a private, courthouse elopement on a Wednesday, a 60 person reception party on a Friday. In both, our biggest priority was having a photographer capture the intimate, joyful small details. We went with Emilee because of her eye for the beauty in the small things. She captured both our days perfectly. DOCUMENTARY STYLE: Emilee was perfect behind the scenes, capturing beautiful moments of our friends and family, small details of the courthouse with just us. I look back at some of these photos and ask "how did she even get that?!" She has such an eye. POSED: We had about 20 minutes dedicated to posed, family photos during our reception. Emilee had our families relaxed and laughing, quickly swapping members in and out. In some newlywed photos, we sought her advice for how to pose. She gave quick direction, made us feel confident, and always found the perfect light. COMMUNICATION SPEED: Delivered on every promise, quick replies. Emilee was 15 minutes early to both locations, we never had to worry. PERSONALLY: We met with Emilee about 4 months before our big days. “We were super excited to work with a veteran-owned business for our wedding music. However, the experience was not what we had hoped for. William's communication style was fast and accommodating, but he had a hard time matching the style of music we provided for our playlist (we provided around 40 songs for him and he added the rest to get the time coverage, but we didn't like 60% of his choices so we changed them 2 days before, which he fixed with no complaints!). During the ceremony, the music was skipping (outdoor and separate from reception area) and he ended up playing more guest requests than the songs we had specifically chosen as the couple. One big positive was he had a good balance of talking/directing and just playing music which I really appreciated. Overall, we had mixed feelings but all the issues we had could have been corrected with an equipment check (not sure if this was a venue issue or DJ issue) and preference of our music over the guests. I really liked working with William as a person and he handled changes really well, but I was disappointed to not hear more of my song choices.”

He met with us multiple times prior to the event to go over music selection, flow of the ceremony day etc. His website was very easy to use and allowed us to have a large role in our music selection for the day, even for the reception dance portion. Everything was reviewed at least 3 times to ensure there were no hiccups, and also to make sure we wouldn't have to worry about anything on the ceremony day. On the day, Lou came in very early to setup and his equipment was extremely unobtrusive and sounded amazing. From the ceremony to reception (and especially cocktail hour), the sound was fantastic and there was not a single hiccup (even with an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour!). His flow through the reception was so smooth - and as a former college radio DJ, his music choice to fill in the gaps between the 'must plays' we sent him were impeccable!!! If you have a big heart for music and want it to be the backbone of any great party while having one of the most professional guys out there - Lou is 100% your guy. Thanks again Lou!!!!”

“Emie and her assistant Michael were fantastic! From our first meeting with Emie, she made sure that our wishes were heard and made sure that it was something she could capture. Through the planning process, she reassured us and continuously instilled confidence in us. On the day of our wedding, her and Michael were early and comforting. They did getting ready photos, our first look, bridal party photos, and family photos per our shot list. They were so knowledgable and paid great attention to the lighting and backdrop, having us change angles a few times to account for it. She coached us through poses and, most importantly, what to do with our hands. During the ceremony and reception, they both were able to capture shots that we had no idea they were even in position for! They also brought disposable cameras to the event for our guests to take candids throughout the night and we’re super excited to see how those turn out!  Additionally, they were very professional in handling relatives who wanted to take pictures on their own equipment throughout the day. They were so fun to work with, we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer in the Albemarle area!”

“Kaity did a great job, especially considering all the uncertainty of bad weather (my ceremony was outdoors) we had to all deal with. She always had an upbeat and positive attitude the whole time, which I know can be very difficult to do around my family. She definitely would just roll with all the punches to keep us on track. I was anxious the entire day, but Kaity reassured me that she had everything under control and I knew I could trust her. She even went out of her way to get me and my husband little care packages on the day of, with inspiring notes. The only hiccups I actually noticed was with announcements and speeches, because the volume and echo was not great, so people didn't know when things were actually happening, so I wish we could've told the DJ sooner to fix the issue. We had also wanted to have our dinners boxed up, because my husband and I were both too anxious and excited to really eat, so our food ended up being thrown away, plus we didn't receive the top tier of our wedding cake to save for the tradition thing (but my guess is because they served it all to the guests). Unfortunately, at the end of the night, we were super rushed to get everything out of the building, because of the time and the pouring rain- I was running around barefoot in my dress while my husband was passed out in the car, and I was one of the few trying to get everything packed and cleaned up. However, Kaity and her husband really helped us out by collecting all the left items and holding onto them for us until the next day. She kept in contact, since at least a month beforehand, to make sure we had everything in order and sent her all the vendor contacts , so she could be included with all the day-of plans. She really did go above and beyond to make sure I had the best day possible, and I really appreciated that from her. I would definitely hire her again.”
