We hired her for our wedding in Asheville, and she came to us in Raleigh for our engagement session. She made us feel really comfortable and didn't try to make us do any "unnatural" poses; over the engagement session, she found what worked for us, and brought out more of that! She was also very patient with our dog who did not want to cooperate at all, and still managed to get some great action shots of him! The day of our wedding, it poured! She was such a trooper about quickly moving outside when the sun poked out, and back in when the skies opened up. And when everyone hit the dance floor, she got the best personality pics of our loved ones. We booked Amber for our elopement to San Francisco from the UK in Nov 2023. At first we were apprehensive about making the big commitment to a photographer, we wouldn’t have the chance to meet face to face before the big day. But we were quickly put at ease after speaking with Amber. From our initial enquiry, right through to Amber putting us in the cab back to our hotel after our ceremony, Amber was a dream to work with… The relationship we developed was so professional, yet friendly and fun. Amber was super organised, and very responsive to all our questions and emails, communicating from the UK was not an issue at all… Even up until the morning of our ceremony, Amber was in regular contact with advice, and guidance on how everything would run. “Ashley drove all the way up from Philadelphia to photograph our wedding in the Boston area. Her prices were quite reasonable, including the travel costs. She was a very pleasant and relaxed photographer, flexible in the face of uncertainty and complexity, and able to marshall children and adults effectively. Her street photography background lended itself perfectly for candid, intimate, dynamic images, which we were hoping to capture for our guests. Our wedding was on November 3rd, 2024. We received 1100 online photographs on March 29th, 2025, and a USB of all photographs around April 15th, 2025. So it took 20 weeks, 6 days for the full set of photographs. Ashley was able to get us several photographs on November 9th, 2024, which was a pleasant experience after the wedding. My wife was concerned that we might not get the photos from Ashley, as time went by and we could not contact her. During the winter my wife was contacted by another recent customer of Ashley's to ask if we had gotten hold of her and received photos, as the other customer had not yet and had been unable to contact her. The effort of calling, texting, or emailing her every few weeks with no or infrequent responses did become a bit of a chore for us. We're giving Ashley 4 out of 5 stars because the quality of her photos and her quality as a member of the wedding day does not deserve a lower rating. We just wanted you to know of the delay and lack of contact we experienced after the event. It might have been a temporary setback for Ashley, we can't tell from her communication with us. Good luck in your wedding planning!”

“WE LOVE GRANT. I can’t say it enough. I’ve been antsy for more of my friends and family to get engaged just so I can recommend Grant be their wedding photographer. We started with an engagement session with Grant, which felt just like a hang out (and that is EXACTLY what we wanted). We were dreading the engagement session, since this was our first time getting professional pictures taken, and we normally feel very awkward in front of a camera. Grant made it so easy and comfortable by playing music, joking around, asking questions, and prompting us to do certain things, so we never felt lost or posed. It also helped that Grant is hilarious- we were never told to “turn and face each other and pretend to laugh,” since we were basically naturally laughing the whole time already. For our wedding day, we hired Grant to shoot only with film, and boy did he deliver. There’s a sense of rawness and nostalgia to his film pictures, making them absolutely timeless. Each time I look through our gallery, I discover and love something new about each picture. He captured moments I didn’t even know that I wanted, but are now my favorite shots from that day. The day of your wedding, there are so many things going through your mind, so many questions being asked of you, and so many things you end up forgetting. Grant’s playful, yet confident energy constantly put me at ease. He knew when a joke was needed, when hair needed fixing, how to steam dresses (yes, he actually did that), how to deal with children, where to go and what to do at any moment, and when we just needed a break. To top it all off, Grant surprised me and my husband at the end of the night with a whole set of Polaroids he took of every big moment throughout the whole day (so thoughtful and special!!). I now have them all in a frame, illustrating our wedding so perfectly. It is VERY clear Grant is in this business because he loves it and is passionate about what he does. I was never hesitant to tell him my [particular/annoying] requests or opinions, because he was always open to hearing them and excited to take on a new challenge. I honestly wish I could just take Grant and his camera with me everywhere I go to capture all the big moments in my life. I will cherish our pictures forever, as well as our new friendship with him!”

“My husband and I decided to elope to NYC from Scotland in 2022. Jo linked us to her Instagram profile following a post on a Facebook group and we instantly fell in love with her whole vibe. Her work stunning. We set up a video call to discuss what we wanted from the photos from our special day - Jo just got it and got us almost instantly. She knew NYC and where to get our pictures done but also allowed us to collaborate and explore on the day. Jo is passionate about her profession and passionate about giving you the best possible experience, flowing with love and positivity throughout. It’s super relaxed and fun.
