To honor my family’s legacy, I named my business Tova Yvents, a nod to my family’s matriarch, “Yvette”—a name passed down to me to carry forward their love for connection and celebration. I absolutely love celebrating others and the journey that goes into creating meaningful experiences. I made a point to make everything from scratch and wanted to plan and bake for his first birthday. I used to be a divorce attorney, I had brain surgery, and now I'm a wedding photographer. Yes, you read that right. But there's obviously more to the story. Before going to law school I went to school for photojournalism and even worked for newspapers. After brain surgery turned my life upside down, I realized I wanted to go back to my roots as a photojournalist and I wanted to capture truly joyful, enthusiastic moments and voila - I fell in love with weddings and photographing them.

A Raleigh, North Carolina native, Leslie has not let location deter her from experience.
