“I literally could write for an hour or two and still not be able to tell you everything that was so wonderful about working with WSE. They were well organized, available, kind, and definitely make you feel like family. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and photographs very well. We took advantage of the recent upgrades to Alpha and it was a fantastic space; big enough to comfortably accommodate our 150-ish guests, décor, dance floor, buffets, memory table, etc, but still felt intimate. They coordinated well with our outside vendors and I appreciated that we weren’t limited in our vendor selection. They made a lot of things just work without stressing us out at all. The setup for my caterers/servers was excellent and accommodating. The Romeo suite was so much fun for the groomsfolk, but the Juliet suite was an AMAZING amenity. The salon chairs and backlit mirrors were so convenient for my HMUA. The suite was comfortable and roomy despite the zillion people I had coming in and out. The full kitchen (particularly the full size fridge/freezer) was super nice to have. We had our ceremony on the west lawn, which was absolutely beautiful. They also were very enthusiastic and accommodating about letting us get some photos with our dogs and incorporating them into the ceremony. One of the most notable things, though, was how well they handled adapting to my and my guests’ mobility needs. Several of my older family members use walkers and were worried about the walking or the grass and they all felt very accommodated and cared for and were able to enjoy the day. I myself have a disability that affects my ability to walk and stand for very long; this was no problem for them. They shortened the aisle for my ceremony, knew exactly how to create a beautiful ceremony where both we and our wedding party were seated, and they put a lot of mileage on those golf carts getting me and my family where we needed to be safely and comfortably. I cannot recommend White Stone strongly enough and I would have every event there if I could.”

For example, I quoted and interviewed 7 different Chicago florists before choosing Ester's Private Garden and I would 100% book her again! From the first beautiful proposal to our continuing conversations, Miriam was able to take my color vision to life. Coming up with a colorful palette that blended summer and fall colors (a September wedding) was no easy feat but Miriam was able to execute so full! I was in awe of my flowers from my bridal bouquet to ceremony stands, and our grand staircase. Out tables were event a gradient of colors and a last add-on of incorporating fruit, she did it and did it perfectly. We got numerous compliments from our florals and many guests begged to take center pieces home. Aside from the quality of her work, she is overall a good person. So friendly, sympathized with the stress of wedding planning, and really just felt like a friend and someone on my team. I am so appreciative of her and can not recommend her enough!”

Paul and Kris met in 1989 while playing in an orchestra in Wheaton, IL. They started the Brass String Chamber Ensemble in 1990 which quickly became very popular throughout Chicago and the suburbs. They have played over 2000 weddings and special events and have thousands of titles in their combined music library. The BSCE enjoys playing for ceremonies but also cocktail hour and during dinner. They are familiar with all traditional church ceremonies and also happy to play in banquet halls, country clubs, hotels, or even at a lovely home celebration. They are based in Naperville but travel throughout Chicago and the suburbs.

“The Brass String Chamber Ensemble (BSCE) are an absolute pleasure to work with and we 100% recommend that you hire them to perform at your wedding! The BSCE played our wedding in October 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mokena, IL. Our decision to hire them was one of the easiest and best decisions we made during the entire wedding planning process! We discovered the BSCE during a wedding showcase and were extremely impressed with their offerings across the board. The setup we saw during the showcase was a very professional one and the music that we heard matched it perfectly. We knew right away that these musicians were true professionals and that they take their craft very seriously. In addition to the classical music you'd expect to hear at a wedding, we also heard them play a lot of pop music during the showcase as well. We thought this was really cool because it shows that they are willing and able to play some more modern hits. Another big factor that influenced our decision to hire the BSCE was how comfortable we felt talking to them about our ideas and what our vision was. Shoutout to Paul and Kris for being so down-to-earth, friendly, and accommodating during the entire process! Once we gave them the contact information for our music director at the church they were able to work directly with her on all of the details. This was great for us because it was one less thing we would have to worry about coordinating ourselves. Fast forward to October 12, 2019, the day of our wedding - the music was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! The church sounded so full of sound which truly helped to create one of the most memorable and love filled experiences of our lives so far. All of the musicians played in perfect harmony throughout the entire wedding. One especially memorable part of the music during our wedding was the use of the trumpet. To be honest we were kind of on the fence about whether or not we wanted to include the trumpet in the ensemble. However, after going to the BSCE website and listening to their audio excerpts (http://www.thebsce.com/audio.html) we decided that we did want to include the trumpet and we were SO glad that we did! While the organ and strings create an amazing sound all on their own, adding a brass instrument like the trumpet definitely takes it to the next level and makes the music at your wedding especially memorable. My wife and I just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on October 12, 2020 and as is tradition we ate our saved slice of wedding cake and re-watched our wedding video. Let me tell you that hearing the music again during the ceremony instantly brought us both back to that very moment at the altar - we both had chills!”

“Elijah, Veronica, and their team were the videographers and photographers for our wedding in July. Not only were they reliable and easy to connect with BEFORE the date, but they also did an AMAZING job the day of! They were calm and it was clear that they had extensive experience with weddings and wedding parties. They listened to the ideas that myself and the groom wanted but also had amazing ideas for unique photos. We had a big wedding party, family and wedding guest list. They did a great job calmly but clearly directing family members and the wedding party when taking photos. They ensured that we were kept on schedule without putting pressure on us. Additionally, they were so much fun and went above and beyond to make our day special and memorable! When my bustle broke midway through the reception, Veronica was there right away to put it back together with a safety pin and hair tie! My guests kept on commenting about how fun they were and how on-top they seemed. We've only received our "sneak peak", but the photos are amazing so far! We're also looking forward to the videos, as we know that Elijah provided a unique perspective with personal details. I highly suggest having them for your wedding or any big event!”
