Words almost fail to express how freaking fabulous our time with The Barker House was! We are just over 3 months married (3/27/2025) and family and friends still remark to us on just how fun and gorgeous our wedding was. A ton of that credit goes to the amazing staff at the Barker House. Right from the start of our first tour, we were treated with such kindness and respect from the Barker House team. We were immediately sold on the staff (who took such time and care chatting with us) before we even fell in love with the venue. Davis-Lynn and Lilly were our rockstars! We were lucky enough to have them with us on our wedding day. The first portion of the day I was incredibly nervous, but once I was greeted by Davis-Lynn at the front door all my worries dissipated. I knew I was in the best of hands and suddenly felt ready to have fun. Even during the dinner service, Lilly was so kind as to sew my ripped bustle behind the scenes. She was so dedicated to making sure we had the best experience. The venue is simply stunning. As two people who appreciate history and go antiquing regularly, The Barker House spoke to our personalities. The speak-easy feel of the sunken bar, fireplaces, and exposed beams are very unique. The venue is in a gorgeous area and we were glad to be by the ocean. The chef is phenomenal as the food service was top notch. Family still exclaim to us how delicious the food was (omg the short ribs perfection!). I also suggest that couples utilize The Barker House's recommended vendors. Not only was payment and interaction with them a breeze, but they were each fabulous in responsiveness and quality. Awesome Blossom, Toast To That Entertainment, and Kristen Griffin Photography were incredibly professional and they each blew us away. I could go on and on... The bottom line, if you looking for a worry free all inclusive beautiful venue and want to work with the best people, look no further than The Barker House! P.S. Brides, make sure you get a picture with your planners! My only regret is that I didn't get a picture with Lilly and Davis-Lynn!

Shining Tides was the absolute perfect venue for our June wedding! The porch, lawn, and private beach struck the perfect balance between our laid back style and the elegance of a gorgeous coastal setting. We were able to customize everything to reflect us in every detail from the intimate beach ceremony to dancing the night away on the stunning covered porch! Our guests could not stop raving about the incredibly beautiful natural setting. The staff were unbelievably attentive (shoutout to our newlywed attendant Judy who was simply the best! She even brought me a bus bin of warm water and a towel to wash my feet before changing into my reception shoes!) We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! I can’t recommend 1620 enough. They went above and beyond for our wedding from the second. We signed the contract. They had everything taken care of. The only thing we had to do was find a DJ and find a photographer or videographer we got to do all the fun stuff, tastings, final meetings, walk-through they took care of everything behind the scenes. We didn’t have to worry about a thing when one of their vendors who does the draping decorations and lighting unfortunately wasn’t available for my wedding day, Franque somehow got trapping and lighting for our ballroom space. I still have no idea how she did it, but it was there for our wedding and it was absolutely gorgeous. It was exactly what I wanted. Little details like this is just an example of the many things that they did to go above beyond making sure that there was no issues whatsoever on wedding day. Our ceremony went off perfectly. They have an outdoor ceremony space we utilized, an in file meeting. We discussed backup plans if the weather didn’t cooperate which thankfully it did (balmy 73 on 10/4/25). The food was incredible. We did the filet and the chicken saltimboca. They have incredible all-inclusive packages that include different variations of sit down or buffet dinners open bar specialty drinks past hors d’oeuvres. There’s a couple different tiers. The value for our money was amazing compared to a lot of other places around the South Shore. We got the best bang for a buck and I would do it again.

This place was perfect for our wedding. We utilized all three private event spaces sequentially. Had our ceremony in the Cook Theatre, cocktail hour in the Lagoda Room, and reception in the Harbor View Hall. Our guests were all extremely happy with the experience with great mix of historical displays to see and open space to celebrate and dance. Andrew and the entire museum team were amazing at ensuring the event went smoothly and we were soo thankful for their help! Overall, amazing venue, highly recommend!

The Red Lion Inn is first class. We booked our wedding about 8 months out for just shy of 200 people. We were immediately assigned Krystel to work with who managed everything!! After I sourced our vendors, Krystel took on communication with them of when they were arriving, what they needed, etc. Krsytel was there to answer any questions we have and make our day special to us. We upgraded the tables as I did not want linens on the tables and Krystel worked to ensure the flow the room remained amazing. We had a 9 piece band that was perfectly situated and taken care of. The day of Tufick was THE MAN. He kept everything moving smoothly, we couldn’t have been worried or concerned about a thing. The food was incredible, the after party was a blast and we have memories for a life time

She went above and beyond what you would consider coordinator duties and even went to the town hall for us on occasions as we were long distance from the Cape! Stephanie took each step along the way to ensure we were able to avoid unnecessary costs, reduce stress, have fun, and plan an event of a lifetime. She was always quick to help or give her professional opinion and never once made me (the bride) feel like any question was too small or silly. Everything about our day ran smoothly and everything turned out STUNNING! The one hitch to our day (an agitated golfer) was promptly taken care of and corrected by management. Since our wedding, guests have told us they are still thinking about how beautiful harbor lights is and how amazing our wedding was. My husband and I could not recommend harbor lights enough!

When I think back on my wedding, I'll always remember how helpful she was and how much that positively impacted the entire experience.
