Hi there, I'm Rudney Novaes — And I’ve been intrigued by photography since I was a boy. In youth I discovered a fascination with film when my Father left behind a vintage camera. I was amazed by the mechanics of the time-worn device, in awe of its capability to freeze moments in time. Today, I’m an editorial and wedding photographer capturing stories filled with feeling, and my love of light and film continues to shape my craft. I’m passionate about sharing the knowledge I’ve chased since childhood with aspiring creatives and seasoned professionals alike, and I believe wholeheartedly that there’s always more to learn from one another.

I absolutely love LOVE. I would love to capture your love story and give you images you will cherish for a lifetime. Capturing beautiful images is important but to me capturing beautiful moments is the most important. I’m a big fan of morning walks with my family, running, cycling, hiking, good music, sunny days, last minute trips, and apple products. I love Jesus, my wife, my daughter Harper, my son Smith, traveling, experiencing new cultures, my family, and helping others. As a husband, I firmly believe in marriage and want to do my best to capture all that it means to get married and to celebrate that with you through photography.

I’m a fun-loving, passion-chasing, curly-headed gal looking at life through a viewfinder. My happy place is anywhere outside of my comfort zone, but a nature-filled walk chatting up good company is a close second. If I’m not planning my next trip, or dreaming up something to cook for dinner, I’m outside trying to meet my Fitbit step goal. (10k club, anyone?) My latest leap of faith? A cross-country move to sunny Orange County, California. This isn’t the first time I’ve packed up and jetted away from my home state of Maryland: Germany, Singapore, and South Carolina make the list too.
