Christiaan Huygens can be considered as the father of all clocks. In 1656 he invented the pendulum, a swinging weight, as a timekeeping element for clocks. A pendulum clock quickly became a representation of the most precise time and had a widespread use. Huygens was considered a leading scientist of his time, in which he was always looking for the best and next inventions.
It was his train of thought that functioned as an example for our Huygens clocks. Our clocks – of course – have incredible accuracy, and we wanted to take Huygens as an inspiration to take our clocks a step further. All Huygens clocks are tested to meet our high quality standards. Equipped with a silent movement. Made from recyclable quality materials. Designed in the Netherlands.
