Oxford, Mississippi, 2010. Two sociology graduate students walk into a bowling alley for a departmental gathering. A short few months later the bowling joint catches fire. At a separate function they bump into one another (quite literally) at the front entryway of the Depot (pictured above prior to renovations). Giggles were exchanged, water was inhaled in laughter (up Katie's nose). During that time they each unknowingly volunteer to help a retired community development professor relocate office spaces, and are utterly smitten. Blessed by fire, united by sociology and the spirit of volunteerism, they are still inseparable four years later. We look forward to a future full of loving mischief, good-will, and belly laughs.
