Our first stop on the way down

On the way down and back in Namche

To start the trek we will be flying from Kathmandu to Lukla through the Himalayas.

After the trek we will fly from Lukla back to Kathmandu for a few rest days in a cottage outside of the city

Whenever we travel Milo gets to stay with his best friends at a 1,000 acre ranch dedicated to dogs owned by the wonderful folks of Oregon Tails.

Our first hotel in Nepal after 42 hours of travel

After a long flight we can't wait to tour a beautiful city.

After our first full day of trekking we will overnight in a guest house in Namche

Day 1's trek will take us to 11,286 ft. So that we can keep on trekking, we have to take a day to acclimatize.

Third day on the trail and our second guesthouse will be in Thame

Day 4 and we will clime up to 12,400 feet

Up to 12,600 feet and we will be in Tenboche

After 3 days of trekking we will take a rest day in Tengboche

A big climb gets us up to 14,400 feet in Dingboche

A rest day to get our bodies used to the elevation.

Almost to the highest point of the trek at 16,200'

From Kala Pattar we will be looking down at Everest basecamp from 18,500'

The last stop before we fly back to Kathmandu

For our final nights in Nepal we will stay in the Shivapuri Heights Cottage for an escape from Kathmandu and a rest from trekking.

After climbing 7,000 feet over 15 days we will really be looking forward to this.
