We were saddened to think that our smoking days would be coming to an end as we enter into this next season of marriage. Where would we put our giant smoker if we are living in a little 1 bedroom apartment? That’s when we found the Oster 2-in-1 Smoker Roaster Crockpot. A 16 quart crockpot that doubles as a smoker and was incredibly rated online. Marriage saved! But alas, there was a problem. Oster discontinued the product. People all over reddit were asking “how can you buy this amazing little machine?” The reacurring answer was “you can’t.” We thought to ourselves “this cannot be, there has to be a way.” But sure enough only 6 had sold in the last 2 years on eBay, 2 of which were used. We only had 7 months to find one so we could put it on our registry - the odds were looking slim. Then, out of the blue, we got an email saying one had been listed on eBay. When we click the link we come to find out that its is in brand new factory sealed condition. The cost including taxes and fees was $140, which may seem like a lot but others in same condition were going for upwards of over $200. All that to say, we bought the item, figuring Andrew can always sell it if we change our minds. We would love to keep the item, especially because we do not have a crockpot. If you would like to forever become a part of this smoker story, we have opened this up as a group gift - please contribute as much or as little as you would like. Thanks for reading this far, we hope you got a kick out of it :) P.S. this story makes more sense if you know the story behind how Andrew got his first smoker.
