To our dearest family and friends, Like our relationship the proposal was also unique. I have grown up going to our family cabin in Shaver Lake and every trip it has become a tradition to hike to Indian Rock. This is a gorgeous clearing on the mountain side, especially at night with all the twinkling stars. There are literally zero lights out there so you can see every star in the sky and every glowing light in the valley. Throughout our relationship it has become a tradition of ours to go up to the cabin at least once every summer. So on the weekend of Friday the 13th we took a trip up there. I was personally very excited to see the rare full moon happening that night called a "honeymoon". I explained this moon to Matt by telling him that these are the type of full moons that are so powerful a witch would bind her spell to it (yes I know...I went there). After the drive filled with our favorite songs we got settled in, cooked dinner, drank wine, and watched a movie. Once the moon was at its peak we took a hike to Indian Rock. The moon was so massive and bright we could literally see everything! Matt knowing how much I love pictures told me to take photos of the moon so I could remember it forever. After taking a few photos I turned around to find Matt down on one knee. My heart instantly stopped and the butterflies began as I realized what was happening. I kept thinking OMG it is happening...it really is happening, something I had dreamt of for so long was actually happening. Matt Lindsey was proposing to me! Once I could find my words I said of course, YES! After six years of being my boyfriend, I was finally engaged to the love of my life. Thank you so much for visiting and we can't wait to see you on our big day!
