About Nicodem Creative

Marianne and Andrew Nicodem

Owners

Based in Chicago, Nicodem Creative is a photography and videography studio with a modern, yet classic, style. We are a husband and wife team who believes wholeheartedly in marriage. Andrew loves a simple wardrobe and playing piano, takes his sauna/steam/spa time very seriously, is a social butterfly, studied poetry in college, and would play soccer every day if time (and his body) afforded it. Marianne feels best when hiking, speaks Portuguese, considers herself a master at making açai bowls and blender soups, loves using clean products, and has to shower every night before going to bed (her alone time).

    Marianne and Andrew are two of the kindest, most thoughtful vendors you could have on your team (not to mention CRAZY TALENTED!) Their photography skills are amazing, and they know how to make everyone in front of their lens feel calm, comfortable and like there's not a camera staring at them in the face. Their calm demeanor helps to make a wedding day go the smoothest it could, and they are always doing their best to remain team players to make the wedding day the best possible experience for our clients!

    Oh where to begin! Marianne and Andrew have the rare ability to make you feel calm, comfortable, and beautiful all at once. They are incredibly thoughtful and talented photographers, and captured every moment of our wedding day perfectly.     The Nicodem team is everything you want and need in a photography team for your big day. Not only are they incredibly personable, they are extremely organized, professional, efficient, and talented. When we began inquiring with photographers for our wedding, we were having a hard time finding the right fit because everything seemed so impersonal. The Nicodems reached out with a beautiful email and wanted to schedule a phone call for our consultation. Our 30 minute conversation turned into an hour because they were so lovely and I felt like they truly cared about getting to know us, learning our story our story, and hearing about our vision for our day! We knew that they would be the perfect fit. Our engagement photos were so fun with them and they turned out incredible. Leading up to the wedding weekend the Nicodems frequently checked in with us to see how we were doing, if we needed anything, and even sent us flowers (how cute is that?!?!). During our wedding day, we weren't worried about anything because we knew the Nicodem Team would take care of everything. We were calm and able to focus on the joy of the day. The Nicodems did a fabulous job organizing my crazy and big family, capturing special moments, and being our pump-up squad. After the wedding they gave us some sneak peeks and we were dying to see more. Within the timeline provided they gave us our full gallery, and 2 years later, we look at it almost monthly. The only regret is that I wish we booked them for video too!! Your wedding photos and video are forever, to make sure they are perfect, make sure you have the Nicodem Team for both!
