Hey love, I’m Kara - your Nikon-loving, sunset-obsessed photographer and wedding cheerleader! When my sister got engaged in 2010 and I invested in my first camera, I started to experience the joy of documenting love stories as I photographed her engagement session - my very first session. From there, things grew quickly and now my husband and I photograph 20+ weddings a year together! When I’m not photographing weddings throughout Chicagoland, you can find me snuggling our puppies Georgie + Jett, lovin’ on my family, spoiling the littles in our life as Auntie Kara, gardening in our backyard, and exploring breweries with my husband Kyle.

We Only Do Pretty

Typically, couples book my photography services 12-18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame!

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

Yes, I'm glad you asked! Videography is offered as an exclusive add-on to our couples that book wedding photography.

Turnaround time per our contract is 4-6 weeks. Though you’ll likely be able to view your photos online no later than 5 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a USB drive with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints, too!

You can expect approximately 800 to 1000 photos from your wedding in a mix of color and black and white edits. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding collection, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
