Wedding Florals Q&A with Putnam & Putnam

Wedding flowers are no longer your parents’ wedding flowers. With the growth of the ‘gram, and the modernization of weddings, brides and grooms-to-be are getting unlimited inspiration for their wedding florals. But why should wedding flowers end at the reception? We partnered with Mike and Darroch Putnam of Putnam & Putnam to take wedding themes (rustic, black tie, and boho) to your dining room table. Afterwards, we sat down with Darroch to talk what’s trending in florals. Check out what he has to say about an industry that’s very much in bloom! 1. First and foremost, how’d you two meet and find yourself making these amazing flower arrangements together? Michael and I met just about ten years ago while studying in college in Southern California. We moved to New York shortly thereafter to pursue careers in Interior Design and Photography. After a few years in the industry Michael, a bit restless with long days at a desk, began shopping for flowers at farmers markets and the 28th Street flower market on weekends. He’d create arrangements …

As self-proclaimed foodies, we believe the dining room is the most important part of your home (next to the kitchen, of course), so picking out a table, choosing the right chairs, and adding that perfect rug to tie it all together are very important. With so many ways to style the dining room, from rustic wooden tables to sleek touches of gold, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite looks to give you some much-needed inspiration. Clean & Neutral Go simple with natural tufted chairs, a sleek wooden table, and tons of white flowers. The neutral palette is really versatile, great for changing up your tabletop for different occasions. Inspired by Scandinavian Style We’re always a fan of Scandinavian style, especially this simple combination of light wood and modern white chairs. The faded palette and modern silhouettes are staples of Scandinavian design. Mix & Match We love the idea of mixing and matching …

Inspiring Interiors: Boho Prints

An often overwhelming part of decorating your home is figuring out how to incorporate prints into the mix. We’re a huge fan of bohemian inspired prints. They add the perfect touch of color and interest to a room without looking over-the-top or fussy. Stick with neutrals for the rest of your palette, and add these fun textiles in the form of pillows, rugs, or even artwork. Get inspired by these interiors below.
