With spring just a few weeks away (hopefully), we’re taking every opportunity we get to think warm and bright. Thanks to POPSUGAR, we’ve got steps to making your own DIY mason jar organizers to keep your newlywed home colorful and clean – a little fun “spring cleaning” project, if you will…
Looking for a fun and colorful way to organize your kitchen counter or desk space? This tutorial will show you how versatile canning jars can be as placeholders for some of the most used items around the home or office. I saw this adorable DIY and wanted to try it out for myself. What I love most about this project is how a set of jars can make a bold statement to instantly brighten up and personalize any living space. Use them to organize kitchen utensils, makeup items, writing tools, or craft accessories. The sky’s the limit for what these jars can be used for!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Mason jars
- Acrylic paint (Americana brand acrylic paint in Peony Pink, Melon, Lemon Yellow, and Sea Breeze)
- Chalkboard sticker tags
- Chalk/chalkboard marker
Clean the mason jars with soap and water. Dry the jars completely before moving on to the next step to ensure a solid paint finish.
Squeeze a generous amount of paint into the jar to throughly coat the interior surface.
