Papillon People
Papillon People is all about non-traditional wedding photography filled with honest emotion and documentary integrity. I'm inspired by editorial and fine art photography and always strive to capture your moments in a candid, artistic way.
Kendra is an experienced digital and analog photographer who specializes in documentary-style wedding & elopement photography. She draws inspiration from the world around her and the people she meets. Her work emphasizes the importance of living in the moment and experiencing the unique joy and wonders that each moment affords. Kendra's approach involves encouraging rather than conjuring. When you feel comfortable, attractive, and entirely authentic, that's when the magic happens.

6 Hours 3 Rolls of Film + Digital Photography, Edits, Developing & Processing. Micro weddings are small gatherings of around 50 people max that last no longer than 6 hours including getting ready, ceremony, portraits, and reception. Some additional hours are available, if needed.

THE BEST EVER!!
I fell in love with Kendra's photography style right off the bat. We soon learned that not only is Kendra wonderful at her craft, but she is a wonderful and genuine individual. My now husband and I loved working with her every step of the way. From our engagement shoot, to bridal portraits, to wedding day, she made us feel comfortable, answered all of our questions, and even offered advice regarding our wedding that was much appreciated. She took the time to get to know us and understand our vision for our big day so that she could bring it to life. And she did not disappoint! We have endless photographs, along with video, that capture not only our love, but the love we share with our friends any family, which was something that was important to us. We could not have asked for a better experience and I could not recommend her services more!

Excellent Photographer!!! Loved working with Kendra! She communicated with us throughout the whole process and her images are stunning! On the day of our wedding, she had such a calm presence and made me and my husband feel comfortable and at ease. The only thing I would change, is that I should have booked her for longer. We had a small wedding party and short ceremony so I didn’t think I would need a photographer for more than 6hrs, but I wish I would have booked her to come earlier and capture more of the pre-wedding setup and family time. But her photos are beautiful, both the posed and the candid shots.

I highly recommend Kendra Smith for wedding photography! From the very beginning she was so helpful with the vision we had. She went above and beyond on our wedding day. I would say she made our wedding day go more smooth. Not only is she amazing at what she does, she's also down to earth and just a joy to be around. So many people complimented on how wonderful she was. There were some unexpected issues that popped up and even though she didn't have to she stepped in and helped contain the situation. Our wedding photos blew us away, everything we wanted and more! She captured our wedding and reception perfectly. Truly brought our vision to life! She even helped us with resizing a photo for our photobooth. Thank you Kendra! We are so grateful and will cherish these photos forever!
Amazing Experience!
Kendra was amazing to work with! From the beginning, we knew she was the perfect photographer to capture our special day. She was very thorough with asking questions to make sure she understood our vision. She offered fantastic inspo suggestions that we never would have thought of. Working with her had us very relieved knowing that our photography was in good hands and one less thing we needed to stress about. The day of the wedding, she captured all of our special moments exactly how we envisioned. She has a lot of attention to detail, which was very evident when looking through our pictures. They turned out absolutely perfect. I could not have asked for a better photographer!
