Corona Virus Update

08.01.202

Friends and Family, Jesse and I have decided to move forward with the event; however, we are taking the state's covid guidelines very seriously. We have decided to cut our guest count down from 250 to around just 60 people. We do not feel as though it would be responsible to move forward with a large event with the virus on the rise. We are also taking social distancing into account in every aspect of the day. Masks are encouraged, but only required on the church ground and while walking through the hotel lobby. The location of the wedding has changed in order to be able to provide a safer experience for our guest. Please reach out to Jesse or Elizabeth you should have any additional concerns.

Our Story...

Two Vols become The Woodalls

It was spring break Junior year of college and I was in the holding area waiting to board a cruise with my sorority sisters. We look over and see two boys who look familiar. We recognized one as Falcon, the guy who helped us book the cruise, but his friend I had never met before. He had on a Hawaiian shirt, a straw hat, and bright pink Chubbies shorts. I remember thinking to myself, “Who the heck is that kid?” Falcon introduced him to us as Woody (Jesse’s fraternity nickname). We hung out over the course of the week and Jesse kept flirting with me. I remember thinking that I could never date a fraternity guy. However, we had fun together and got closer throughout the week. On the last day, Jesse slid his phone across the dinner table to get my number. He expressed to me that he, “Wouldn’t mind taking this back to Knoxville.” I freaked out… I wasn’t ready for that. When we got back to Knoxville, Jesse asked me out on a date. I remember coming home from the date almost giddy, but also so apprehensive and not feeling ready for a relationship. Jesse spent the end of the semester courting me and showing me how fun it can be to be in love. In May we started dating. This also started our first stretch of long distance since Jesse spent the summer in Knoxville and I spent the summer in Franklin. For the past three years, Jesse and I have spent more time apart than we have together. We are so excited to start our lives together in Hattiesburg. I could not imagine a smarter, more kind, or more caring person to call my future husband. This season of life has been a JOY. We cannot wait to celebrate with you all on 08.01.2020! Love, Liz
