December 29th, 2017, in Philly is where it all began. Tashera surprised her friend Kharan with tickets to a show. Micah happened to be performing in the show and also knew Kharan so he came over to speak to both of them. Though he was instantly enamored, Micah didn't say too much because he wasn't sure if they were actually on a date...(turns out they weren't LOL). Despite their best efforts to play it cool, they ended up staring at each other all night, and a seed was planted that never stopped growing. They didn't say much that day but Micah went home and stalked Tashera's Instagram page for the next few weeks until they ran into each other again, this time not so accidentally. Tashera made her way all the way from Baltimore to Micah's show in DC. They spoke a little after the show, but still nothing too deep, still very "careful". Just a couple weeks after that, Micah reached out to another mutual friend looking for subs to sing with the praise team at his church. She wasn't available but to his surprise, she referred Tashera. Micah immediately called Tashera to ask if she was available, all the while doing his best to remain "professional" but as soon as he confirmed with Tashera he called the bass player for the church and told him the "bad joint I told you about from Baltimore" was coming on Sunday. Meanwhile, on the other end of the phone, Tashera tried to play it cool but texted her friend Kharan immediately after to tell him how hype she was. After the service, a few of the praise team members went out to lunch together. Tashera and Micah couldn't help but sneak looks across the table. The chemistry became more and more obvious to both of them; so much so that Micah finally went ahead and texted Tashera later that same day. Quickly, texts turned into daily phone and video calls that just never stopped. Almost 4 years later, they're excited to officially celebrate the love they've shared from the day they first met!
