Ethan was hosting one of the big pregames he loved throwing — this time in the back alley of his friend’s music studio before a DJ set. Leora’s college roommate Tiana and their friend Mike brought her along. Ethan and Leora exchanged maybe two words this night, and Leora thought nothing of it. Ethan replayed the whole scenario in his head for months thinking it could be love at first sight. Three months later, they ended up in the same place again — a Carl Cox show, a DJ they both have loved for years. Ethan was hosting the pregame for this event once more, only this time it was much smaller. He spent the entire night trying to get her attention, complimenting her, and asking her if he could bring her water. His persistence was paying off and he finally got her attention. It took a third concert together before he finally asked her out in the Uber in front of the peanut gallery of friends. We owe the first hello to Mike and Tiana. After that first date in December of 2024, the rest was history. We both knew, within the first couple of dates that it felt right. Two years later, we’re walking toward the chuppah — the long way around, through alleys, pregames, and three very patient DJ sets.
