After joining a kickball team through mutual friends, we didn't speak to each other for months until a chance encounter leaving after a game. Hopson "pretended" to take the dogs on a long walk before going to dinner with his parents. He called Hannah saying one of the dogs had gotten off leash and Hopson had twisted his ankle chasing him. After reassuring Hannah multiple times that the dog was okay, Hopson asked her to come pick him up at the park down the road and surprised her with the proposal there, complete with both dogs.
