We host dreamy, well-planned weddings + events that capture your vision so you can cherish the memories for a lifetime. Our stylish venue not only stands apart for its appearance, but the way we care about our guests + the details of your special event. The Colonial at Sunset is a beautiful space to host your wedding, baby shower, bridal shower, reunion, retreat, birthday party and more. We have on-site overnight accommodations so you can stay for the weekend with up to 16 of your friends and family. We have a variety of indoor and outdoor event spaces for both ceremony and reception, holding anywhere from micro-weddings to 225 guests. We get to know you as a couple, your style, and your vision, and bring those distinct elements to life on your wedding day. We are family owned and operated, and want to ensure your guests feel at home from the moment they arrive.

When I heard about the Colonial at Sunset and its location, I assumed it was going to be another barn venue. Nothing wrong with barn venues, it just wasn’t our vision for our day. The entire property was our backyard wedding dream and the owners made our experience better than we could have imagined. Britt and her husband went above and beyond for us. Before we even arrived to start getting ready for the day, her husband was out front pressure washing the outdoor area where we chose to have our ceremony. I am so grateful for their hearts and the details they payed attention to so we didn’t have to worry about it or even think about it. We opted for the all inclusive package which made our experience with planning that much easier. I recall one meeting asking if I was missing anything or if there was anything more I needed to do because it all felt too easy and she assured me that with her help, that’s how it was supposed to feel. Leading up to the day of the wedding we knew we wanted our focus to be on each other and God and walking into the day we knew we could confidently do that because of Britt and the way she serves others on their special day with excellence. If you’re not just looking for a venue but a family who cares about you and your day, then you should stop looking because you’ve found it with the Colonial at Sunset and their amazing team.

I have had the pleasure of being a vendor for several events at the Colonial at Sunset. What an absolutely stunning venue! The property feels like a true escape, surrounded by beautiful open fields peppered with giant live oak trees. The venue itself is so lovely. Every detail has been addressed and it shows. The Colonial House boasts old Florida, stately charm, perfectly blended with modern amenities and design. Each room is decorated beautifully, and the space is large enough to sleep a dozen guests! The Poppy House is the most wonderful, sunlight-filled space. Guaranteed to elevate your small event. The Gathering Space has the same bright, open air feel as the Poppy House, but with a larger footprint. The beautiful vaulted ceilings give the space an open feel, while the large elevated fireplace is a design feature that makes the space feel cozy and welcoming. Overall, I would say this venue is an outstanding option for anyone looking to host an event, large or small.

We cap the Poppy House at 50 guests to ensure there’s enough space for everyone including your vendors. Our large event space is able to comfortably seat up to 200 guests.

The Colonial Home boasts 5 bedrooms + 5 Bathrooms, which sleeps between 12 and 16 guests comfortably.

Absolutely! Your wedding will still be your way, even with our all-inclusive package. We simply take the stress out of planning for you, but you still choose all the details. We handle the payments, the contracts, the coordination, and more so you can truly enjoy your wedding day while knowing things are being handled.

Dogs are permitted for your ceremony if you hire a designated dog-sitting company. We love your furry friends, but they are not allowed to stay on-site. More details provided upon a tour visit.

This varies greatly dependent on the event details and package chosen. The venue can be booked hourly for smaller events, and packages include a range of hours based on your needs. When you request info we will send a comprehensive list of all package options and we are committed to finding an option that works best for you and your unique event.

The Colonial at Sunset has an open vendor policy, but we do offer customizable, all-inclusive packages for an stress-free planning process. The use of outside vendors may result in additional fees. Our preferred vendors will provide exceptional quality and unsurpassed service on your special day. All of our vendors are vetted and the entire vendor team works together seamlessly with your vision in mind. Everyone has an “anything it takes” attitude to ensure your wedding day is flawless. You All-Inclusive Package can include: Bar, Catering, Decor, DJ, Event Insurance, Florist, Photographer, + Stationary
