Imagine this: You step onto plush grass that feels cool to the touch under your bare feet. The wind is blowing gently off what appears to be an endless body of water that stretches to the horizon. You walk past the white, sandy beach where a bon fire is burning and hear laughter as friends share drinks and stories. The twinkling lights, music, and dancing beckons you towards a tiki bar where a bartender is serving up fizzy drinks and fun cocktails. You stop. You soak in this moment. A destination wedding in Ohio. We specialize in sunsets.

Our newly remodeled club house boasts a brand new kitchen and a his and hers changing room with adjoining bathrooms. Our property consists of 5+ acres of perfectly manicured lawns and gardens, several more acres of mature trees and wooded areas, a 30-acre lake, a steel tent suitable for up to 300 guests, two islands, three bridges, a hillside of wild flowers and a full service tiki bar.

    This place is just beautiful and made the perfect venue for our wedding. Everyone involved in planning before our big day and during our day was absolutely amazing and wonderful to work with. We are so thankful for our wonderful experience.

    Tropical Paradise in Geauga County! I kept telling my husband when we were looking into venues, "I want somewhere close to the water that's peaceful and I want it to feel like paradise, but I want to get married not too far from home". Most of our family is from the area, so we wanted somewhere that we didn't have to travel super far either. I had been looking for DAYS and everything was either way too far, way too expensive, ehhh, or just not at all what I was thinking. My husband hopped on Google, and said "Hey, how about this place called Shangri-La?" I looked at the pictures and I was like "Where is this place?!" He said "5 minutes from us". I could NOT believe it! It was GORGEOUS! The pictures are amazing but don't do it justice. I immediately reached out to Pam and Rod who own Shangri-La with interest. They said we could come and look at it that day if we wanted! My husband and I went and fell in LOVE! So so beautiful, and they have clearly spared no expense on making it so elegant, beautiful, convenient, affordable, and just magical. They were so amazing to work with. I knew when we parked and walked down the walkway even only seeing a small area of the location that was it. That was the place we were meant to be married at. Pam and Rod were so unbelievably amazing to work with. So caring, so organized, so attentive. They even offered us to set off fireworks at the end of our wedding (we got married on the 4th of July). It was truly the best day of our lives. I didn't worry about a thing, everything went smoothly, and they were just so great to work with! I will absolutely be returning to Shangri-La in the future as they can accommodate you for any kind of gathering you have in mind! They even went the extra mile; I was in a very bad car accident about 2 weeks after my husband and I got back from our honeymoon. I was in the hospital for a days and had broken my neck and had surgery on my knee that left me re-teaching myself to walk. Somehow, Pam and Rod had found out that I was in a car accident, and they stopped over at our house with the sweetest care package and card. It truly made me cry. They are such sweet and wonderful people. And we had such an amazing visit. Pam and Rod are just such unbelievably genuine people. You just feel like you're "home" when you're at Shangri-La. I cannot say enough about Shangri-La and Pam and Rod <3

    Absolutely amazing owners and staff. Cannot beat the views this venue offers or the pontoon boat rides that Captain Rod gives the wedding party! Simply stunning sunsets. There is no other venue in Ohio like it.
