About Second Song

Second Song

Second Song is a boutique Wedding and Event DJ/MC service. We are a network of some of the most experienced and most referred DJ/MCs in Southern California, and specialize in DJs that focus on providing you with a complete music and planning experience.

The company was founded by experienced Wedding DJ and Business owner Robert Corrall. Rob had worked at some of the largest DJ companies in the industry, and wanted to build a company based on values, customer service, and looking after the DJs that they represent.

    Rob and his team DJ'd our wedding last weekend and absolutely killed it! We’ve been to quite a few weddings and the DJ’s can be hit or miss, but everyone (us included) thought they were awesome. Rob blended the perfect amount of our requested songs with songs he knew would be a hit and it came together perfectly. We are sticklers about good music/party vibes and Rob and his team delivered. We would highly recommend Rob and his team for any type of event - they were great.

    DJ Mark was awesome! He read the room and had everyone on the dance floor the whole night, both of which were very important to us. Also, he wears a very cool hat! My husband and I highly recommend. Thank you, DJ Mark!

    We knew our DJ Rob Goodmonson would be a good choice as soon as we started chatting with him. He was incredibly warm, inviting, and attentive! During our first phone call, we developed a great rapport - it was so clear he loves what he does, and he had genuine enthusiasm for us and our wedding. Rob was super communicative by email, and it was really helpful to use the Second Song portal/doc as a guide to choose which music we wanted and when. It also felt really nice to be able to remove parts of the doc that we didn't want part of our day (garter toss, grand entrance, etc.), and Rob gave us options on how to facilitate some parts of our event too (like switching from dads to mom/sister during the parent dance by introducing them, which was a really beautiful moment). Rob also was able to loop the song we used while walking down the aisle! On our wedding day, Rob was super enigmatic! Based on our cues from the google doc/chatting on the phone, he clearly understood the kind of music we liked, and it showed, because the dance floor never emptied. He actually mixed, so there was never an uncomfortable gap between songs, and even when we had requests he quickly and seamlessly slipped them in. He had a really relaxed and welcoming presence throughout! He gave us shoutouts throughout the night, which felt surprisingly special! We would highly highly recommend Rob, his energy was incredible AND he was the DJ for the GLAAD awards!!

    I’ve been in the wedding industry as a a professional for the last 12 years and have worked with Second Song on the vendor side many times and they have always been fantastic to work with, especially in situations where I needed their help as a venue manager or a coordinator. So, when it was time for my wedding, I KNEW who I was hiring! We went through the wonderful and fun process of selecting our DJ by watching intro videos, listening to mixes, and truly getting to know each of them and chose Cale, who was the absolute perfect choice for our 1950s vintage themed wedding at The Madonna Inn. He fit the vibe perfectly and took our playlist and mixed it so incredibly well that almost 95% of our guests were dancing the entire night!!! We could not stop receiving compliments about what a great party it was and how the vibe was truly immaculate. The DJ is an essential part of your wedding and trust me, Second Song is the right choice!
