Ashley and Carter East operate DaH out of their commercial kitchen near the Downtown Mall. They share a passion for local food and interesting cuisine from around the world. With 25+ years of catering experience, they bring the expertise required to execute events from the casual to the elegant. Ashley's training comes from working under a few of the finest chefs in Charlottesville, at some the best restaurants in area, such as The Clifton Inn and The Ivy Inn. She furthered her skills at the Cookery at the Grange in Somerset, England.

Ashley and Carter will be your direct contacts throughout the planning process. With a strong emphasis on communication and attention to detail, you can expect a level of service you won't find anywhere else.

    DAH Catering was fabulous to work with at every stage of our pandemic-delayed wedding celebration and planning. I think that you learn a lot about who people are when things get tough. And what we learned about Ashley and Carter as we *twice* had to reschedule our wedding due to Covid is that they are incredibly kind and compassionate people who cared about us as people and not just as clients. They would earn my unreserved recommendation for that alone. But in addition to being great people they are also consummate professionals and talented caterers. The food was delicious and the whole process of choosing our menu was very smooth, even when we had to change practically our entire plan a month out to better suit a smaller wedding. They handled all of the details of our rentals, so that all we had to do was go and pick out what we wanted. Everything during our event was smooth and seamless, so much so that we didn't have to think about it at all. The food looked great, tasted great, and was served quickly and on time. The bar service was particularly impressive, and Carter worked overtime with me to get our signature cocktails just how we wanted them. While we had many hiccups getting to and through our wedding day, it was nothing but smooth sailing with our entire catering service. I would recommend anyone getting married in the Charlottesville area to work with DAH Catering. You'll get great service provided by great people--we couldn't have asked for more!
